The successful candidate will develop, modernize, test, deploy, and sustain mission-critical enterprise applications operating within a highly secure environment.The developer will contribute across the full application stack, including database design, backend services, RESTful APIs, frontend user interfaces, automated testing, security implementation, and DevSecOps integration. This role supports modernization initiatives leveraging PostgreSQL, Java, and contemporary web technologies while ensuring application reliability, performance, and security compliance.\nResponsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications supporting mission operations.\n\nDesign and develop Java-based backend services and RESTful APIs.\n\nDevelop responsive front-end applications using React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.\n\nDesign and optimize PostgreSQL databases and application data models.\n\nImplement authentication, authorization, auditing, and secure application controls.\n\nPerform data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.\n\nDevelop and support automated testing capabilities throughout the software lifecycle.\n\nSupport CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.\n\nCreate technical documentation, design artifacts, and deployment guides.\n\nCollaborate with architects, cybersecurity personnel, testers, database administrators, and stakeholders to deliver complete technical solutions.\n\nRequired Qualifications\nU.S. Citizenship.\n\nActive TS-SSBI or TS/SCI clearance.\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field. Equivalent experience may be considered.\n\nMinimum FOUR (4) years of experience working across the full application stack, including:\nDatabase design\n\nBackend development\n\nAPI development\n\nFront-end development\n\nSecurity implementation\n\nAutomated testing\n\nDevSecOps integration\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL, Java, and modern web technologies.\n\nExperience designing and developing Java-based backend services and RESTful APIs.\n\nExperience developing responsive front-end applications using React, Angular, Vue, or similar frameworks.\n\nExperience performing data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities.\n\nExperience troubleshooting production issues and improving application performance.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nFive or more years of enterprise software development experience.\n\nExperience modernizing legacy enterprise applications.\n\nExperience with Spring Boot, Hibernate, or JPA.\n\nExperience with PostgreSQL performance tuning.\n\nExperience with Docker and Kubernetes.\n\nExperience with AWS or Azure.\n\nExperience implementing CI/CD pipelines.\n\nExperience with secure code scanning and DevSecOps tooling.\n\nExperience developing, modernizing, and supporting enterprise software solutions within federal government environments.\n\nThe annual salary range for this position is $98,000.00-$163,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
