Experience with Azure SQL, SQL automation, disaster recovery, and cybersecurity best practices are preferred.\nWhat You Will Do:\nLead and manage database administration activities within a NIHNEI portfolio.\nAdminister and maintain multiple database platforms (Azure SQL, SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).\nPlan, engineer, install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot database systems.\nIncorporate updates and changes while ensuring database integrity and security.\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive Database Configuration and Administration Documentation.\nImplement continuous improvements and deliver detailed improvement reports.\nConduct database refresh and data dump when requested by developers.\nServe as a technical expert and provide guidance or supervision to team members.\nMaintain and monitor database backups and conduct database restore/recovery when required.\nCreate and maintain SQL Agent jobs and Windows scheduled tasks.\nLead service account password rotation activities and maintain a schedule for the password expirations.\nWhat You Will Need:\nSecurity Clearance: Ability to obtain public trust clearance\n Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree. FOUR (4) additional years of experience is needed in lieu of degree. Minimum of SIX (6) to Ten (10) years of job-related experience as a DBA.\nTechnical Expertise: Strong proficiency in SQL Server, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. Understand SQL Server database mirroring technologies or other database failover methods.\nSkills: Ability to plan, configure, maintain, and manage database systems; strong troubleshooting and repair capabilities.\nDocumentation: Experience in creating and maintaining detailed configuration and administration documentation.\n Other Abilities:Ability to create, modify, and tune TSQL and PLSQL code.\nAbility to troubleshoot and resolve data, system performance issues.\nMay require participation in a 24X7 on-call rotation or overnight deployment.\nStrong expertise in SQL performance tuning, including SQL query optimization.\nIn-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with SQL language, including triggers, procedures, functions, and packages.\nKnowledge of Oracle SQL Developer, SQL Loader, and related Oracle tools is a plus.\nKnowledge with AWS cloud technologies like RDS, Lambda, EC2, Redshift is a plus.\nKnowledge of using different database connection tools is a plus.\nExcellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.\nStrong verbal and written communication and listening skills.\nProven ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment, with strong planning and coordination capabilities.\nHigh levels of self-motivation and adaptability, with the ability to meet aggressive deadlines.\nAbility to work independently with minimal direction.\nSolid understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile and Waterfall methodologies.\nDemonstrate ability to research and resolve complex technical problems in a distributed and complex IT environment, collaborating with both local and remote teams.\n\n What Would Be Nice To Have:\nAdvanced certifications in database technologies (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft SQL Server Certification).\nExperience with database security hardening and compliance frameworks.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based database solutions and migration strategies.\nLeadership experience in managing database teams or large-scale projects.\nKnowledge of automation tools for database administration and monitoring.\nThe annual salary range for this position is $113,000.00-$188,000.00.
