FOUR (4) years of relevant experience of may be substituted for formal education\nAbility to work on client site in New Carrolton, MD five days a week.\nTWO (2) years of experience in performance engineering, performance testing, or systems performance analysis.\nExperience with performance testing and system tuning to ensure applications meet scalability requirements.\nExperience with LoadRunner for designing, executing and analyzing performance tests.\nSkilled in bottleneck analysis and establishing performance baselines.\nUnderstanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and non-functional requirements and translating them into testing objectives.\nExperience producing forecasts and workload projections based on trend analysis and historical data.\nKnowledge of cloud performance testing (AWS, Azure).\nStrong skills in analyzing test results and findings to provide actionable recommendations.\nExperience with capacity planning frameworks and building performance models to anticipate future growth and demand.\nFamiliarity with monitoring tools for performance testing, such as AppDynamics or Splunk, to identify and analyze bottlenecks.\nFamiliarity with mainframe and web-based performance systems.\nWhat Would Be Nice To Have:\nPrior experience working for the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as an employee or a contractor (preferably within the last six months).\nExperience supporting large-scale Federal or Public Sector technology programs.\nExperience with additional performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or NeoLoad.\nFamiliarity with cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerized environments.\nExperience integrating performance testing into CI/CD or DevSecOps pipelines.\nKnowledge of application monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, New Relic, Grafana, or Datadog.\nExperience supporting high-volume, mission-critical transactional systems.\nRelevant certifications in cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), performance testing, or systems engineering.\nExperience presenting performance findings and recommendations to executive and program leadership stakeholders.\nThe annual salary range for this position is $56,000.00-$94,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
