This role will work across business and technical teams to evaluate data sources, assess data quality, and support preparation for system modernization and replacement initiatives. This role is part of a rapidly expanding State Health practice focused on helping agencies modernize how they use data to support critical programs.\nThrough this effort, you will directly contribute to a state agency’s modernization journey by strengthening its data foundation. You will play a key role in helping the agency understand its data landscape and prepare for the transition to platforms that better support decision-making, reporting, and improved outcomes for children and families.\nWhat You Will Do:\nEvaluate and analyze data from legacy systems and disparate sources to assess quality, completeness, and consistency\nDevelop and apply practical approaches to profile complex datasets, including structured and semi-structured data\nIdentify data gaps, anomalies, and structural issues that may impact reporting, analytics, or system migration\nRecommend data quality improvements and remediation actions that are aligned to both current-state use and future-state system needs\nSupport data readiness efforts for modernization and system replacement, including migration considerations\nCollaborate with stakeholders to validate findings and align on data priorities and remediation strategies\nDocument data issues, patterns, and recommendations in a clear, actionable format\nPartner with program and technical teams to improve data usability for reporting and analytics\n What You Will Need:\nBachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university\nBased on our contractual obligations, candidate must be located within the United States and US Citizen\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a federal public trust\n2 + years of experience in data profiling, data analysis, or data quality assessment\nPrior experience in child welfare, human services, or related social programs (state agency, consulting, or nonprofit)\nStrong proficiency in SQL and data analysis for querying, analyzing, and profiling data across complex, multi-system environments\nExperience identifying data quality issues and recommending remediation actions\nExperience supporting data preparation for analytics, reporting, or system modernization efforts\nAbility to clearly communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders\nFamiliarity with system modernization or data migration readiness efforts\n10% travel may be required during key client deliverable milestones\nWhat Would Be Nice To Have:\nExperience with data profiling and data quality tools such as Informatica Data Quality, Talend, Collibra Data Quality, or similar platforms and technologies\nAdvanced experience with data preparation and transformation techniques to support reporting, analytics, and modernization readiness\nFamiliarity with data modeling concepts and data structures to evaluate how data can be used in current and future-state systems\nExperience supporting enterprise and/or programmatic data governance or data standardization efforts\nFamiliarity with CCWIS or large human services system environments\nThe annual salary range for this position is $102,000.00-$170,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
