The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience deploying complex enterprise network solutions, deep familiarity with Cisco technologies, and strong operational discipline in building secure, reliable, and fully documented networks.\nThe Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for:\nDesigning, installing, and configuring a standalone Cisco network tailored for a lab environment.\n\nDeploying and configuring: Cisco ACI fabric, Cisco SDA (Software-Defined Access) networks, Cisco wireless access points, Firewall uplinks and associated security zones.\n\nImplementing best practices for segmentation, access control, and network performance.\n\nStanding up and configuring foundational enterprise services, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory\n\nProducing detailed system documentation including network diagrams, configuration baselines, operational procedures, and test results.\n\nEnsuring all configurations adhere to Guidehouse quality standards and any client-specific requirements.\n\nConducting functional and performance testing.\n\nEnsuring successful integration between network components.\n\nTroubleshooting and resolving complex issues across multiple layers.\n\nWorking closely with internal stakeholders, project leads, and technical teams.\n\nProviding status updates, risk identification, and recommendations throughout the build.\n\nWhat You Will Do:\nInterface directly with clients to define IT project requirements.\n\nImplement project documentation governance aligned with company and client requirements.\n\nTrack progress of project against goals, objectives, approved budgets, approved timelines.\n\nImplement change management routines to assess change requests, make recommendations, secure client approvals, and issue change orders. Assesses change requests to determine impacts to scope, budget, schedule, quality, and risk.\n\nDemonstrate ability to identify complex project risks, lead constructability reviews, develop risk mitigation and contingency plans, and implement action plans to reduce or eliminate project risks.\n\nMake decisions with in-depth understanding and interpretation of procedures, organizational policies, and business practices to achieve general results. Responsible for setting department deadlines.\n\nDraw upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.\n\nOther duties as assigned.\n\nWhat You Will Need:\nBachelor's degree (Relevant experience may be substituted for formal education or advanced degree.\n\nUS Citizenship is required.\n\nFIVE (5) + years of related experience and/or training.\n\nAn ACTIVE TOP SECRET federal security clearance.\n\nAbility to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business/IT documents.\n\nAbility to write reports, manuals, speeches, and articles using distinctive style.\n\nWhat Would Be Nice To Have:\nCCNA, CCNP or CCIE highly preferred.\n\nAdvanced skills with Microsoft Office Suite.
