This individual will listen closely to CDC’s mission and technology challenges, translate emerging or incompletely defined needs into practical technical approaches, and develop architectures, prototypes, demonstrations, and other tangible concepts that help stakeholders evaluate and refine potential solutions.\nThe role combines solution architecture with technical leadership for interoperable public-health data exchange, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth, curiosity, initiative, and a collaborative working style, with the ability to engage CDC technical personnel as a credible peer. The position will provide technical leadership CDC project(s) while strengthening Guidehouse’s broader ability to support CDC through trusted relationships and technically credible work.\nWhat You Will Do:\nTranslate emerging or incompletely defined needs into practical architectures, prototypes, demonstrations, and technical options.\nLead the design of scalable, secure solutions for public-health data exchange, interoperability, analytics, and AI/ML, aligned with public-health workflows, governance, privacy, and operational constraints.\nApply standards and technologies including HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs, and terminology systems to surveillance, reporting, integration, and related mission use cases.\nLead multidisciplinary technical teams from design through implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and operational transition.\nProvide technical oversight and quality assurance across the technology stack.\nLead technical discussions and design reviews, communicating decisions, tradeoffs, dependencies, and risks.\n Develop reusable architectures, prototypes, and technical insights that strengthen client delivery and selected account opportunities.\nWhat You Will Need:\nMinimum of EIGHT (8)+ years of work experience.\nExperience designing, modernizing, integrating, or delivering complex technology solutions, including at least four years in a Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Technical Architect, or comparable leadership role.\nExperience leading multidisciplinary technical teams and translating client needs into scalable, secure, executable solutions.\nPublic-health technology or informatics experience involving surveillance, epidemiology, reporting, laboratory, registry, or related workflows.\nExperience with public-health data exchange among public-health agencies, laboratories, registries, healthcare partners, or federal systems.\nWorking knowledge of public-health interoperability approaches and one or more standards or technologies such as HL7 v2, FHIR, CDA, APIs, or terminology systems.\nExperience designing solutions across multiple technology-stack layers.\nExperience providing oversight across design, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, and quality review.\nAbility to turn ambiguous needs into practical approaches and communicate them to technical and nontechnical audiences.\nAbility to work in or regularly engage with CDC stakeholders in Atlanta.\nUS Citizenship is contractually required. \nMust be able to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD \"PUBLIC TRUST\"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their PUBLIC TRUST prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
