You will contribute to automated test execution, test-case development and maintenance, regression testing, defect management, and sprint-level quality activities.\n\nThis is an entry-level Professional Services role supporting billable customer engagements. The position is based in India and aligned to the APAC region.\n\nJob Description\n\nWhat you will do\n\nDevelop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts based on functional and technical requirements.\nCreate and update test cases, test data, and regression suites.\nAnalyze test results, identify issues, and document defects clearly in tools such as JIRA.\nParticipate in defect triage and collaborate with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA team members.\nSupport test automation frameworks, reusable components, and associated documentation.\nParticipate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.\nCoordinate with project teams to align testing activities with sprint deliverables and release timelines.\nPrepare and communicate basic QA status updates, test execution results, defect summaries, and release-quality metrics.\nFollow established testing standards, automation guidelines, and project delivery processes.\nContribute to continuous improvement of testing practices and automation coverage under the guidance of senior team members.\n\nThese responsibilities reflect common Associate Consultant-level QA activities, including regression testing, defect logging, sprint collaboration, and release-level QA reporting.\n\nWhat You Have\n\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.\n1–3 years of experience in software quality assurance, test automation, or a related area.\nBasic understanding of software testing life cycles, test-case design, defect management, and regression testing.\nExposure to at least one programming or scripting language, such as Java, JavaScript, Python, or Gosu.\nFamiliarity with automated testing concepts and frameworks.\nExperience using test management or defect-tracking tools such as JIRA.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.\nAbility to work effectively in an Agile, sprint-based delivery environment.\nWillingness to learn Guidewire products, implementation practices, and customer-specific solutions.\n\nPreferred Skills\n\nExposure to Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, REST Assured, or similar automation tools.\nFamiliarity with API testing, web application testing, and SQL fundamentals.\nExperience with Git or other source-control systems.\nUnderstanding of CI/CD concepts and automated test execution within build pipelines.\nExposure to Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, or related insurance-domain applications.\nExperience preparing test execution summaries, defect reports, or QA metrics.\nAbility to work with distributed teams across APAC and other global locations.\n\nExperience profiles supporting this role commonly include automation QA, functional testing, regression testing, defect tracking, and Guidewire platform exposure.\n\nAbout Guidewire\n\nGuidewire is the platform P&C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
