We've built a strong culture, and we're looking for engineers who can help us maintain it.\nJob Description\nSuccessful software engineers at Guidewire typically have:\nEnjoy working collaboratively in an empowered, small, cross-functional team\nExperience working in an agile and fast paced development environment (e.g. TDD, BDD, Agile, pair programming, etc.)\nA passion for code quality demonstrated by thorough testing\nA desire to be hands-on in designing and writing code\nCuriosity and internal motivation to constantly improve\nAbility to learn quickly in a dynamic environment\nExcellent communication skills, comfort level to speak their mind and defend ideas based on merit, yet humility and hunger to learn from others.\nKey qualifications include experience with:\n2-4 years of experience in enterprise software development\nProficiency in Core Java and solid understanding of JavaScript / HTML5 / CSS.\nExperience with a market leading client-side framework (e.g. React, Angular) is plus.\nFamiliarity with Continuous Delivery, Continuous Integration, Unit/Integration Testing, etc\nObject-Oriented Design using SOLID and Hexagonal design principles\nExperience building secure software and knowledge of security practices\nExperience working with Open-Source frameworks (e.g. Spring, Jersey, Drools, others)\nUnderstanding of relational database persistence (e.g. MySQL, Oracle).
