You will configure, extend, and integrate Guidewire applications to support our customers’ policy and billing operations.You will work closely with solution architects, business analysts, QA, and customer stakeholders to deliver high-quality implementations across APAC and global projects.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nConfigure and extend Guidewire BillingCenter (and/or PolicyCenter) using Guidewire configuration tools (e.g., Gosu, PCF, data model, business rules) following best practices.\n\nAnalyse business and functional requirements; collaborate with business analysts and architects to translate them into technical designs and configuration tasks.\n\nImplement product, rating, billing, and account structures, as well as batch processes, jobs, and workflows needed for customer solutions.\n\nIntegrate BillingCenter/PolicyCenter with external systems (e.g., payment gateways, financial systems, customer portals) using web services / REST APIs in collaboration with Integration teams.\n\nParticipate in estimation, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives as part of an agile project team.\n\nInvestigate and resolve defects across development, SIT, UAT, and warranty phases; support performance and data-related troubleshooting as needed.\n\nPrepare and maintain technical configuration documentation, mapping documents, and handover notes.\n\nFollow Guidewire and project SurePath methodology, coding standards, and quality practices (e.g., code reviews, unit tests where applicable).\n\nCollaborate closely with QA to clarify expected behaviour and support test case design and defect triage.\n\nAt Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI-empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.\n\nRequired Qualifications & Experience\n2-4 years of experience in software implementation, configuration, or development roles (preferably in enterprise or financial/insurance systems).\n\nHands-on experience in Java or similar object-oriented programming language; willingness to learn and work with Gosu.\n\nGood understanding of relational databases and basic SQL.\n\nExperience working with business rules, workflows, and/or configuration-driven systems.\n\nExposure to insurance or financial services domains (billing, policy admin, finance, or CRM) is strongly preferred.\n\nExperience working in cross-functional, agile project teams.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and quality.\n\nGood verbal and written communication skills in English; able to work effectively with distributed teams and customer stakeholders.\n\nDemonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.\n\nNice to Have\nExperience with:\nAny Guidewire product (BillingCenter, PolicyCenter, or ClaimCenter).\n\nEnterprise integration patterns and web services (SOAP/REST).\n\nCloud-based or SaaS implementations.\n\nUnderstanding of P&C / General Insurance concepts (policies, coverages, premiums, invoices, payments, dunning, write-offs).\n\nPrior consulting or customer-facing implementation experience.\n\nWhat We Offer\nOpportunity to work on regional and global InsuranceSuite implementations with leading insurers.\n\nStructured learning path for Guidewire certifications (e.g., BillingCenter / PolicyCenter) and mentoring from experienced consultants and architects.\n\nHybrid working model in Kuala Lumpur with a strong local GDC community and collaboration with global PS teams.\n\nCompetitive compensation and benefits, with clear growth paths into senior consultant, lead, or architect roles.\n\nAbout Guidewire\nGuidewire is the platform P&C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
