Working closely with senior product leaders, engineering, and SRE, you'll help shape how Guidewire delivers infrastructure as a product - with a focus on developer experience, reliability, security, and cost efficiency.\nThis role is a strong fit for someone with a solid technical foundation in cloud infrastructure who is building their product management career and wants to grow into platform strategy ownership.\nJob Description\nWe are looking for candidates with 6-10 years of overall work experience, including a minimum of 1-2 years in Product Management (or a product-adjacent role such as technical program management, solutions engineering, or platform engineering with product responsibilities).\nOwn the roadmap and backlog for one or more platform service areas within CCS/Atmos - such as deployment tooling, observability, Kubernetes-based compute, networking, or shared platform services - in alignment with the broader CCS product strategy.\nDevelop a working understanding of the Guidewire Cloud ecosystem, the multi-tenant/hybrid-tenancy architecture, and the needs of both internal developer teams and external customers.\nTreat platform infrastructure as a product: identify friction in developer workflows and define capabilities that improve productivity, self-service, and time-to-value.\nPartner with Engineering, SRE/Operations, UX, and Enablement to discover, test, refine, and prioritize solutions.\nWrite clear feature requirements and user stories with well-defined use cases and acceptance criteria.\nContribute to roadmap planning by bringing customer insight, usage data, and operational feedback to prioritization discussions.\nSupport the launch of new platform services and features; define success metrics, measure adoption and performance, and iterate.\nBe a power user of the platform capabilities you build.\nCommunicate progress, trade-offs, and outcomes clearly to engineering teams and stakeholders.\nEmbrace a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI - using emerging tools and data-driven insights to improve how you and your teams work.\nWe're looking for someone who\nHas experience working on platform, infrastructure, or developer-facing products - as a product manager, or in a technical role (engineering, SRE, DevOps, solutions/technical program management) with a demonstrated interest in moving into product management.\nHas a solid understanding of AWS services and cloud-native architectures (AWS Cloud Practitioner certification is a plus).\nUnderstands containerization and container orchestration (Docker & Kubernetes) and the basics of running services at scale.\nIs familiar with core platform concerns such as CI/CD, observability/monitoring, networking, multi-tenancy, reliability (SLO/SLA), and cost awareness.\nCan translate customer and developer needs into clear requirements and acceptance criteria.\nIs comfortable managing and prioritizing a product backlog and working in agile delivery cycles.\nCollaborates effectively with engineering and operations teams through design, development, testing, release, and maintenance.\nUses data and customer feedback to inform decisions and measure outcomes.\nCommunicates clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences.\nIs eager to learn, take ownership, and grow into broader product strategy responsibilities.\nNice to have\nExposure to identity and access management concepts - SAML, OIDC/OAuth 2.0, SSO, SCIM - and how they apply to platform services.\nExperience with load balancing and networking in cloud environments.\nAWS Cloud Practitioner (or higher) certification.\nFamiliarity with Aha! and JIRA.\nPrior experience in a SaaS or enterprise software environment.\nAbility to travel up to 5% as needed.\nRole-specific competencies\nCustomer Need: Comfortable engaging with internal developer teams and external customers to understand their needs and document use cases.\nProduct Execution: Ability to turn prioritized needs into well-specified, deliverable increments and see them through to launch.\nCollaboration: Works well across cross-functional teams and builds trust with engineering partners.\nResults Driven: Tracks adoption and outcomes, learns from data, and iterates.\nCommunication: Able to explain both the technical detail and business value of platform work to the appropriate audience.\nMotivation: A genuine interest in the craft of product management and in platform/infrastructure as a product.\nAbout Guidewire\nGuidewire is the platform P&C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
