Your work will help transform how P&C insurers operate on Guidewire Cloud, advancing our mission to combine digital, core, analytics, and AI to help insurers thrive in a changing world.\nJob Description\nWhat you’ll do\nTechnical Leadership\nLead the design, development, and implementation of complex Guidewire PolicyCenter solutions\nProvide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers, fostering their growth and ensuring adherence to best practices.\nConduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and ensure the quality, maintainability, and performance of the codebase.\nAct as a subject matter expert for Guidewire PolicyCenter within the team and organization\nParticipate in client-facing discussions, understanding their needs, and providing expert technical advice\nConfiguration\nDesign, develop, and maintain Guidewire PolicyCenter application, tailoring them to meet specific client needs and business requirements.\nWork with Guidewire’s proprietary language (Gosu), Page Configuration File(PCF), , Plugins, Workflow, etc.\nCreate new data model elements and extend the existing application's data model with new properties for data persistence.\nLeverage PolicyCenter Biz Rules for developing & managing Activities,Underwriting Rules and Admin data .\nExperience in Conceptualization, Visualization, and Realization phases of product design phase or SBT.\nUse of XMIND and APD app to create Products/LOBS\nDevelop a thorough understanding of the PolicyCenter data model to effectively manage and transform data within the system.\nConfigure product models, lines of business, and UI elements based on client needs.\nIntegration\nEstablish seamless connections between PolicyCenter and other internal and external systems (e.g., third-party vendors, policy administration systems, digital portals, etc ) using various integration methods like SOAP/REST web services, batch processes, message queues, and event messaging.\nDevelop and test integration interfaces to ensure data consistency and accuracy across integrated systems.\nPerform comprehensive unit testing and develop GUnit tests for custom code, aiming for maximum coverage.\nUnderstand and analyze integration requirements, propose solutions, and estimate effort.\nCollaboration & Teamwork\nCollaborate with BAs, PMs, QA, and other developers to understand requirements, plan deliverables, and deliver robust solutions.\nEffectively engage in team meetings to discuss project progress, challenges, and solutions\nLead the estimation and prioritization of sprint backlog items, ensuring alignment with project goals and efficient resource utilization.\nWrite clean, efficient, and maintainable code by adhering to Guidewire coding standards and guidelines, and contribute to the development of best practices.\nCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, integration guides, and deployment procedures.\nAt Guidewire, we foster a culture of curiosity, innovation, and responsible use of AI-empowering our teams to continuously leverage emerging technologies and data-driven insights to enhance productivity and outcomes.\nWhat you’ll bring\n6 to 8 years of hands-on experience working with Guidewire PolicyCenter.\nAce certification in Guidewire PolicyCenter would be preferred.\nExperience with Gosu, PCF, Entities, Typelists, Apache Camel, RESTful API’s, Bitbucket & IntelliJ\nExperience working on APD, Rating engine, Integration gateway\nIn-depth understanding of the Guidewire platform, its components (UI, Data Model, Studio), out-of-the-box features, and accelerators; and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.\nStrong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and address technical problems and ensure the smooth operation of the PolicyCenter application\nFlexibility to do shift work as needed (aligning to US colleagues/customers).\nFamiliarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies\nExperience with Guidewire Cloud is preferred.\nBSc in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.\nDemonstrated ability to embrace AI and apply it to your role as well as use data-driven insights to drive innovation, productivity, and continuous improvement.\nYour Impact\nWe believe in clarity and setting you up for success.
