At Guidewire, you'll contribute to a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer-centricity, helping transform the way the world's P&C insurers do business.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities\nContribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Guidewire's application platform, primarily focusing on backend services but with flexibility to occasionally work with infrastructure and frontend.\n\nApply agentic coding tools and support Guidewire's effort to dramatically accelerate development.\n\nEngineer for quality, scalability, availability, and security in every aspect of the platform.\n\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and efficient platform operations, supporting Guidewire's mission of operational excellence and transformative innovation.\n\nSupport and mentor junior engineers, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.\n\nRequired Qualifications\n5+ years of experience in backend software engineering, with a solid track record in system design and building platform services.\n\nExperience with coding agents and automation tools.\n\nStrong proficiency in one of Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, with ability to adjust to other languages.\n\nExperience building APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.\n\nStrong collaboration and communication skills.\n\nExperience with Kubernetes and infrastructure as code.\n\nHow You Contribute to Guidewire's Mission\nAt Guidewire, you will help deliver secure, scalable, and innovative solutions that empower P&C insurers worldwide. Your base pay will depend on your experience, skills, education, training, and location among other factors. All full-time positions or part-time roles working 30 hours or more a week at Guidewire are eligible for benefits that support their health and well-being including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a company sponsored retirement plan.
