You will work in a highly collaborative environment, working on features, enhancements, and bug fixes to the platform that Guidewire customers use to connect their cloud systems.Job Description\n8-12 years of experience in software engineering, building and operating backend services or platforms at scale.\nExcellent programming skills in Java, with strong proficiency in object-oriented design and clean coding principles.\nStrong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architectures, including designing RESTful APIs and integrating with downstream services.\nExperience with React.js or modern front-end frameworks is a plus, especially for building or integrating with internal tools and UIs.\nSolid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization, with practical experience tuning services under real-world load.\nWorking knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker for containerized workloads and orchestration in production environments.\nExperience working with a major public cloud provider (AWS preferred), including core services for compute, storage, networking, and security.\nExperience with AWS DynamoDB or similar NoSQL data stores for building scalable, low-latency data access layers.\nFamiliarity with messaging and streaming technologies such as AWS SQS, Amazon S3, and Kafka (or equivalents) for building resilient, event-driven systems.\nExperience with Apache Camel or similar integration frameworks is a plus.\nArchitecture & Distributed Systems\nStrong understanding of distributed systems concepts, including consistency and availability trade-offs, durability, reliability, fault-tolerance, and consensus patterns.\nAbility to design for observability, implementing logging, metrics, tracing, and alerting to support reliable operations.\nAbout Guidewire\nGuidewire is the platform P&C insurers trust to engage, innovate, and grow efficiently.
