Work is reviewed by a senior level engineer for accomplishment of objectives.\nEssential Functions\nAssists in the preparation of Site Data Sheet\nAssists in the preparation of requisitions for inquiry in support of purchasing Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings, Structural Steel for supports, Pre-fabricated pipe supports, and subcontracts.\nAssists in the preparation of proposals for Geotechnical Investigation & Topographic Surveys.\nPrepares technical bid evaluations for Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings, Structural Steel for supports, Pre-fabricated pipe Prepares civil and structural calculations for the design of various civil/ structural elements pertaining to the project.\nReviews plot plans and facilities for Civil/Structural requirements.\nReviews vendor documents.\nReviews the discipline scope of work to be executed to ensure it matches project specification and/or the proposal documents as appropriate.\nAccepts both short and extended term assignments to the site, client’s office, etc. as may be requested by the Chief Civil/Structural Engineer.\nRequirements\nQualifications\nTypically 2 - 6 years of experience in engineering.\nKnowledge of computer systems in an engineering environment.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nEducation\nBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering\nEIT Certification preferred\nCompetencies\nResults oriented\nCustomer focused\nImpact and influence\nBusiness and people acumen\nWork Environment/Physical Demands\nWorking conditions are normal for an office environment.\nFrequent sitting and operating a computer.\nMust be able to use body members to work, move or carry objects or office materials.\nMust be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.\nPhysical demands requirements are at levels of those for sedentary work.\nGulf is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
