Build and integrate REST APIs and external services using clean architecture, SOLID principles, and established design patterns. Develop and maintain integrations with hospital, laboratory, EHR/EMR, HIS, and LIS systems using standards such as HL7, FHIR, or DICOM where applicable. Build secure file-based integrations using SFTP/FTPS and AWS Transfer Family for automated data exchange. Develop Python scripts and ETL processes for data processing, validation, transformation, and normalization. Deploy, monitor, and manage applications and databases on AWS, ensuring appropriate security, access controls, encryption, and audit logging. Troubleshoot and optimize application, database, and integration performance, including query tuning and resolving data or connectivity issues. Maintain data quality, security, backup, and disaster recovery processes for sensitive healthcare data. Apply secure coding practices and software development best practices, including Git, code reviews, testing, branching, and CI/CD.\nRequirements Strong proficiency in Python, with 3+ years of professional experience and experience with frameworks such as FastAPI. Strong SQL skills and practical experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server. Practical experience with NoSQL/document databases such as MongoDB or Amazon DocumentDB. Strong understanding of Clean Code, SOLID principles, software design patterns, and maintainable architecture. Experience building and consuming REST APIs, including authentication, authorization, API versioning, and rate limiting. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DocumentDB, IAM, and security groups. Experience with ETL pipelines and data integration across different systems and data formats. Experience with FTP/SFTP protocols and secure automated file exchange. Strong understanding of application and database security, including encryption, secrets management, and least-privilege access. Familiarity with Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines. Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills, particularly in production and cross-system integration environments.
