This role will support engineering users by building reliable applications, improving data workflows, and helping ensure flight test information is available, accurate, and usable for technical decision-making.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, develop, test, and maintain applications that support flight test data processing and handling\nCollaborate with flight test engineers, data engineers, and other technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver practical software solutions\nBuild and maintain user interfaces, business logic, and data access layers using modern application development practices\nDevelop and optimize database interactions, queries, and data models to support efficient storage, retrieval, and reporting of flight test data\nTroubleshoot application issues, support production users, and implement improvements to increase reliability, performance, and usability\nParticipate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and configuration management activities\nContribute to continuous improvement of development standards, reusable components, and team software practices\nRequired Qualifications\nExperience developing applications using C#\nExperience with the Angular web framework\nExperience using Entity Framework for data access and application development\nExperience with the .NET Framework\nExperience working with SQL Server, including database queries, stored data, and application integration\nExperience using AG Grid or similar JavaScript data grid components\nExperience developing a Web-based API or Web Service conforming to REST architectural style\nAbility to work with technical requirements, troubleshoot software issues, and deliver maintainable code in a collaborative engineering environment\nMinimum Education and Experience\nBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered\nMinimum of 7 years of professional software development experience building, maintaining, or supporting business, technical, or engineering applications\nDemonstrated experience leading complex software development efforts, making technical design decisions, and delivering maintainable application solutions\nExperience working directly with technical users, cross-functional teams, engineering stakeholders, and other developers to define requirements and deliver production-ready capabilities\nProven ability to troubleshoot complex software issues, improve application performance and reliability, and mentor or guide less-experienced developers when needed\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience supporting engineering, aerospace, manufacturing, test, or mission-critical data systems\nFamiliarity with flight test operations, telemetry data, instrumentation data, or other high-volume technical data environments\nExperience with modern software development tools, source control, automated testing, and deployment practices\nStrong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex technical needs into usable software solutions\nAbility to communicate effectively with both software developers and engineering customers\nTeam Context\nThe Flight Test Data Engineering team supports the systems, applications, and data workflows that enable engineers to process and use aircraft test data.
