In this role, you will support medical communications operations by dispatching ground and air medical transport, coordinating with internal and external partners, and facilitating patient transfer communications. You’ll play an essential role in supporting safe, efficient patient movement across the region!\n\nWhat's Available:\n .9 FTE (36 hours weekly), full-time, benefit eligible\nSchedule: 12-hour overnight shifts, typically 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM (may vary slightly based on department needs)\n Every 3rd weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required\nOrientation is conducted on day shift hours, approximately 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM and will last around 6 months before moving to overnight shifts\n\nLocation: La Crosse, WI\nStarting pay of $20.50+ more for experience!\nShift differentials: PM Shift $1.00, Night Shift $2.00, Weekend $1.50\nWhat You’ll Do:\nReceive and manage emergency and non-emergency transport requests; dispatch appropriate ground or air medical resources based on established protocols.\nMonitor public safety and EMS activity in the region and coordinate with 911 centers and external agencies as needed.\nFacilitate communication, transfers, consults, and referrals between providers and clinicians.\nTrain new staff, collaborate with internal teams, and serve as a knowledgeable resource for patient flow and transfer processes.\nAssist with patient logistics, scheduling support, and system communication to ensure coordinated and timely care.\nWhat You’ll Need:\nHigh School Diploma or equivalency\n1 year of experience using multiline phones, radio dispatch equipment, or computer aided dispatching systems\n Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) certification within one year of hire\nWhat You’ll Get:\nStarting pay of $20.50+ more for experience and shift diffrentials!\n Top-notch benefits: 401(k) with matching, paid time off, competitive health insurance, wellness programs to keep you and your family healthy, tuition reimbursement, and more\nCareer Growth/CDC - Growth opportunities and access to Emplify Health’s Career Development Center to help you navigate your career\nEmplify Health, a partnership of Bellin Health and Gundersen Health System, is a leading not-for-profit, patient-centered healthcare network based in Green Bay and La Crosse, Wisconsin.
