Gunnebo Entrance Control is small enough to see your ideas come to fruition, and big enough to realise your career goals.\nRole Overview\nThe Program Manager is responsible for driving the integrated execution of the Product and R&D roadmap, ensuring engineering programs are delivered against agreed timing, investment, target product cost, scope and business objectives.\nActing as a key integration point between Product Management, R&D and other delivery functions, the Program Manager translates approved roadmap priorities into executable programs, manages cross-project dependencies and critical paths, and ensures risks or deviations are identified early, recovery actions are driven, and unresolved issues are escalated at the appropriate level.\nThe role provides clear and reliable visibility of overall program health and delivery confidence while maintaining functional ownership within Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and other contributing functions.\nRequirements\nTranslate the approved Product and R&D roadmap into integrated program plans, with clear milestones, dependencies, resources and delivery commitments.\nDrive execution across multiple interconnected product-development, platform and engineering projects.\nEnsure alignment between Product Management, R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and other functions necessary to achieve program objectives.\nEstablish and manage the overall program critical path, including dependencies between projects, technologies, resources, sourcing, validation and industrialisation.\nMonitor delivery against agreed timing, development investment, target product cost and scope, ensuring deviations are identified early.\nChallenge plans, assumptions and priorities where there is a risk to overall program commitments.\nDrive cross-functional risk mitigation and recovery plans when programs deviate from agreed commitments.\nIdentify resource conflicts, cross-project dependencies and priority issues that cannot be resolved within individual projects and facilitate timely resolution.\nEscalate significant risks and deviations to the appropriate management level, clearly communicating business impact, recovery options and decisions required.\nEnsure individual projects and workstreams converge toward the required integration, validation, industrialisation and launch milestones.\nProvide management with a concise, forward-looking view of program health, milestones, cost, critical risks, dependencies and forecasted delivery.\nEnsure significant scope, timing, cost or priority changes are assessed for their impact on the overall program before commitments are changed.\nApply consistent program-management practices across global engineering programs and continuously strengthen execution discipline and delivery predictability.\nCapture lessons learned and apply them across future programs to support the continued development of the Engineering Excellence Centre. \nRequirements\nBachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.\n10+ years of relevant experience, with significant experience in engineering program management, product development, NPD/NPI or similar environments.\nProven experience managing complex, cross-functional engineering programs involving multiple interconnected projects or workstreams.\nStrong understanding of the complete product-development lifecycle, from product roadmap and development through verification, validation, industrialisation and launch.\nDemonstrated capability in integrated planning, critical-path management, dependency management, risk management and recovery planning.\nGood commercial understanding of project investment, engineering cost, product target cost and resource planning.\nAbility to influence, challenge and align Product Managers, R&D Managers, project teams and functional stakeholders without relying on direct functional authority.\nStrong experience working across global, multi-functional and geographically distributed teams.\nAbility to identify emerging program risks early and convert complex issues into clear actions, recovery plans and management decisions.\nStrong analytical and communication skills with the ability to provide concise, fact-based management reporting.\nExperience with program/project-management systems such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, Power BI or equivalent.\nStrong stakeholder-management, facilitation and decision-support skills.\nPMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent program/project-management certification would be advantageous.\nExperience in electromechanical products, industrial equipment, automation, security/access solutions or similar engineered products would be advantageous.\nAbout us\nThe Gunnebo Group is a global leader in security, offering innovative products and services to protect and control the flow of people, and to safely secure valuables.
