This person collaborates with others to solve problems at all levels of complexity and will be relied on to tackle the hardest technical challenges.\n\nFocus Areas\n\nOwnership:\n- Takes ownership of technical direction for a product area or system domain.\n- Proactively drives architectural improvements. Sets technical standards and influences adoption across teams.\n- Helps resolve and unblock complex technical challenges across the teams.\n- Identifies and defines solutions for the most impactful technical problems facing the organization, often before they are widely recognized.\n\nProduct & Customer:\n- Deeply understands customer pain points and how our product solves those problems.\n- Partners with product and engineering leadership to share the long-term technical and product roadmap.\n- Guides non-technical stakeholders toward technically sound solutions. Translates complex systems into clear tradeoffs.\n\nTechnical Proficiency\n- Architect and leads implementation of systems that scale with our data and customers.\n- Identifies and leads key initiatives to improve reliability, observability, and performance.\n- Trusted reviewer and advisor for architecture, design, and implementation across multiple teams\n- Ensures web security best practices are followed to safeguard user data and defend against common vulnerabilities such as XSS, CSRF, and SQL injection.\n- Excels at managing complexity and consistently simplifying the systems.\n\nOperations & Communication:\n- Ensures our systems and processes support safe, rapid iteration and robust uptime.Leads engineering standards and communicates complex technical topics clearly to engineers.\n- Creates technical documentation, guidelines, and reusable patterns for others to follow.Leadership\n- Acts as a technical multiplier by mentoring engineers, creating opportunities for all, and elevates the technical bar of the entire organization.\n- Drives cross-functional collaboration and alignment between engineering and product.\nMust Have Skills:\n\nKey Required Skills:\n- 5+ years of professional software development experience\n- Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot (or equivalent frameworks)\n- Familiarity with Google Cloud (GCP) or other major cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure\n- Experience with Vue.js or comparable frontend frameworks like React, Angular, or Svelte\n- Proficiency with relational and non-relational databases\n- Experience working with microservices and distributed systems\n- Excellent collaboration and problem-solving skills\n- A deep sense of curiosity and eagerness to learn, question, and continuously
