The company has a team of experienced engineers and technicians who are available to help with any problems that may arise.\nThe Transport & Customs department is responsible for the global delivery of UPS systems, spare parts, and third-party materials such as batteries for project deliveries, spare part orders, and warranty cases. The Transport & Trade Specialist plays a key role in ensuring on-time deliveries, full compliance with international shipping regulations, and high customer satisfaction.The Transport & Trade Specialist role offers a broad exposure to international logistics, customs and trade compliance activities, with close interaction across global functions and external partners. Excellent communication, flexibility, and a hands-on attitude are essential. The department also actively promotes and utilizes digital tools to streamline and enhance service delivery.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nCoordination and monitoring of import and export shipments from and to our warehouses in Switzerland via courier, air, truck and sea freight.\nManage customs clearance activities for import and export shipments (Passar), including the issuance and management of ATA/eATA Carnets for temporary imported and exported goods.\nOversee battery and third-party material deliveries, ensuring compliance with Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD) and safety data sheets.\nAct as a key point of contact for global transport, customs and logistics partners\nSupport transport tendering activities and contribute to carrier performance monitoring.\nCoordinate packaging activities in line with internal, customer, and regulatory requirements, including sustainability and PPWR compliance initiatives.\nIssue shipping documents in accordance with customer requirements, country-specific regulations, and letters of credit (L/C), including Certificate of Origin.\nEnsure compliance with international trade regulations, sanctions, export control requirements, and company policies.\nVerification and account assignment of freight forwarder and logistics service invoices.\nContinuously seek to improve transport and customs processes, with a focus on quality, cost-efficiency, and on-time delivery.\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - REQUIRED\nSuccessfully completed commercial education, preferably complemented by further qualification in freight forwarding, logistics, customs or foreign trade.\nGood knowledge of international transport, Incoterms and customs procedures.\nExperience with secure air freight procedures, aviation security requirements, and regulated cargo processes.\nConfident use of ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA, as well as standard Microsoft Office applications; experience with customs clearance software would be an advantage.\nStrong communication skills, with excellent German (C1) and good written and spoken English (B2).\nAbility to work independently with minimal supervision.\nSkilled in prioritizing and managing multiple, conflicting tasks under time pressure.\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS - DESIRED BUT NOT ESSENTIAL\nKnowledge of export controls, international sanctions, and trade compliance principles.\nGood understanding of Dangerous Goods regulations.\nFamiliarity with temporary import/export procedures, ATA/eATA Carnets.\nPractical experience with export controls, preferential origin
