Culinary & Operations Coach (Area Manager)

We're looking for a Culinary & Operations Coach to take ownership of a defined region of GYG corporate restaurants. You'll be accountable for food, guest experience, people, safety, and the P&L across your region.

What You'll Do

• Hold the highest standards of food safety and food quality across your region - every menu item, every shift, executed to the GYG Recipe Guide
• Coach Restaurant Managers to deliver an enthusiastic, energetic GYG guest experience - fast, accurate, and memorable
• Drive app ratings, service times, and drive-thru targets by diagnosing barriers and putting proactive plans in place
• Identify strengths and gaps in your management teams, build leaders, and hold people accountable - with respect, documentation, and genuine care for their growth
• Ensure 100% completion of all training, bench planning, and compliance requirements across every restaurant in your region
• Own Food Safety and WH&S compliance - incident reporting, injury management, WH&S reviews, and all scheduled food safety practices
• Review controllable costs including Cost of Goods (COGS), labour, and OpEx weekly with your leaders, identify P&L opportunities, and hold the business accountable to its numbers
• Partner with leaders on LAM planning and support restaurant openings, marketing activations, and business cases for investment

What We're Looking For

• Proven multi-site management experience (e.g. from Retail, QSR, F&B or similar)
• A natural coach who gives direct, honest feedback and uses performance gaps as development opportunities
• Commercial acumen - you can read a P&L, spot the opportunities, and drive action through your team
• A guest-first mindset - you understand that every interaction matters and you coach to that standard relentlessly
• Valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel interstate and intrastate
• Strong communication skills, high initiative, and the ability to hold yourself to the same standards you hold others
