Will lead architecture and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers and developers across application platforms\n\n2. Complexity: High\n\nSPECIFIC DUTIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (List in order of importance):\n\nApplication Architecture & Cloud Design\n\n- Define and maintain enterprise application architecture using AWS services including EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, CDK, and Bedrock\n\n- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing cloud-native solutions\n\n- Establish architecture patterns (microservices, serverless, API-first, event-driven)\n\n- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and cloud strategy\n\nCloud-Native Application Enablement\n\n- Architect and guide implementation of container-based applications using Amazon EKS\n\n- Design serverless solutions using AWS Lambda and event-driven patterns\n\n- Enable API-driven architectures using API Gateway\n\n- Promote reusable frameworks and standard design patterns\n\nDevOps & Automation\n\n- Drive Infrastructure as Code adoption using AWS CDK\n\n- Establish CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure deployment\n\n- Promote GitOps practices for Kubernetes (EKS) environments\n\nPerformance, Scalability & Reliability\n\n- Design highly available, fault-tolerant application architectures\n\n- Optimize performance and cost (auto-scaling, compute optimization, concurrency control)\n\n- Implement monitoring and observability using AWS-native tools\n\n- Define SLAs, KPIs, and system health metrics\n\nData Lake Architecture & Enablement\n\n- Design and implement data lake architectures for centralized storage of raw and diverse datasets\n\n- Enable schema-on-read and ELT-based processing models to support flexible analytics and AI use cases\n\n- Support advanced use cases including machine learning, GenAI, and large-scale analytics workloads\n\n- Ensure scalable and cost-effective storage using cloud object storage platforms\n\n- Implement governance frameworks to prevent data quality issues and ensure discoverability\n\nSecurity, Compliance & Governance\n\n- Ensure secure architecture using IAM, encryption, network isolation, and API security\n\n- Enforce authentication, authorization, and data protection standards\n\n- Align solutions with enterprise security policies and compliance requirements\n\n- Establish governance for application, API, and AI workloads\n\nVendor & Stakeholder Management\n\nSecurity, Compliance & Governance\n\n- Ensure integrations comply with security, audit, and regulatory requirements\n\n- Enforce data privacy, encryption, and access control standards\n\n- Support audits by providing documentation, logs, and integration controls\n\n- Maintain integration documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams\n\nBASIC QUALIFICIATIONS:\n\n- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience in related field\n\n- 12+ years of technical experience with cloud and application architecture\n\n- 10+ years of experience designing AWS-based application solutions\n\n- Strong experience with:\n\n - Amazon EKS (Kubernetes)\n\n - AWS Lambda (serverless architecture)\n\n - API Gateway (API lifecycle management)\n\n - AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code)\n\n - Amazon Bedrock (AI/GenAI application integration)\n\n- Strong understanding of microservices, APIs (REST/GraphQL), and integration patterns\n\n- Experience designing scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems\n\n- Proven experience driving cloud-native application modernization\n\nADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:\n\n- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional preferred)\n\n- Experience with event-driven architectures (EventBridge, SQS, SNS)\n\n- Strong knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, and automation practices\n\n- Experience integrating with enterprise systems (SAP, middleware platforms preferred)\n\n- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills\n\n- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills\n\n- Experience working in cross-functional and global teams\n\n- Proven ability to drive
