The core platform is already built, including broker and custody integrations, order execution, settlement and reconciliation, and on-chain compliance. This isn't a greenfield role. You'll be joining a small team taking a financial system through launch and into production, then helping shape what we build next.\nGyld Finance is backed by Lightshift, GSR, Anchorage Digital and others. Gyld was founded by Ruchir Gupta, previously Head of Treasury & Options at GSR and a fixed-income trader, and Abbas Ali, previously at J.P. Morgan Kinexys.\nThe Role\nWe're looking for a Lead Engineer, Tokenization to take significant hands-on ownership of the platform as we move into production.\nThis is primarily an individual contributor role. We're looking for someone who can lead technically, make good engineering decisions independently, and get into the code rather than manage a large team.\nThe most important experience for this role is trading and order execution systems. Our platform places orders with brokers, handles fills, manages settlement, and continuously reconciles positions, cash and on-chain supply.\nYou should be comfortable with blockchain architecture and on-chain settlement, but you do not need to be a Solidity or protocol engineer.\nWe use AI coding agents extensively in our development workflow. We expect engineers to be comfortable using them every day and to think actively about how they can improve the speed and quality of engineering.\nWe're looking for someone who can join in the near term and play a key role in getting the platform through launch and beyond.\nWhat You'll Work On\nTrading, Execution & Settlement\nOwn and improve systems that place broker orders, process fills, settle trades and reconcile positions and cash.\n\nBuild for the failure cases that matter in financial systems: partial fills, rejected orders, stale states, settlement breaks, retries and reconciliation mismatches.\n\nWork across broker, custodian, banking and crypto rails as they intersect with trading and settlement.\n\nEnsure our internal ledger, custodian positions and on-chain supply remain consistent.\n\nProduction Engineering\nOwn production services across our Rust-based architecture.\n\nImprove reliability, observability, monitoring and alerting as the platform moves into live trading.\n\nStrengthen CI/CD, deployment safety, testing and database migration practices.\n\nDiagnose and resolve production issues directly, including incidents involving live orders or settlement.\n\nTokenization & On-Chain Settlement\nWork with our existing wallet, tokenization and on-chain settlement infrastructure.\n\nBuild and maintain the systems connecting off-chain securities and cash movements with on-chain issuance and redemption.\n\nWork with compliance screening and transfer controls built into the token lifecycle.\n\nHelp design the technical architecture as we add new assets, brokers, custodians and chains.\n\nArchitecture & Engineering Standards\nMake pragmatic architectural decisions for a small team operating financial infrastructure.\n\nKeep critical architecture, operational procedures and system behaviour well documented.\n\nRaise the engineering bar without introducing process for its own sake.\n\nWhat We're Looking For\nStrong hands-on experience building trading, order management or execution systems. This is the most important qualification.\n\nExperience owning production systems where correctness and reliability matter.\n\nStrong backend and systems engineering fundamentals.\n\nRust experience is preferred. Strong experience in another systems language with the ability to ramp quickly into Rust can also work.\n\nComfort with databases, distributed systems, APIs and asynchronous/event-driven architectures.\n\nWorking knowledge of blockchain and on-chain settlement concepts.
