Working with industry best tools including Golang, Event-Driven Architecture, and AWS Serverless technologies such as Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, and DynamoDB, you'll design and deliver scalable solutions that support key business priorities. As part of a Tech function you will work with Product Engineering, Data Engineering, Operations, Platform Engineering and Delivery, playing a key role in building both customer-facing and internal products that drive the business forward.\nWHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:\nLeading technical implementations of projects to help your team deliver high-quality work on time\nUsing Golang to design, build and maintain APIs, services and integrations\nImplementing event driven solutions to support critical business processes\nCreating, maintaining and developing CI/CD pipelines\nBuilding scalable and valuable software leveraging AWS Serverless technologies such as; Lambda, EventBridge, SQS, DynamoDB\nFocus on creating testable, maintainable and scalable code, following Engineering standards\nFollowing an Agile development approach\nMaintaining existing services, ensuring a high standard of observability and proactive monitoring, in addition to responding to incidents. (Especially during peak sale periods which is critical to business success!)\nMentoring and coaching other engineers\nImprove engineering standards and best practices\nWHAT YOU'LL NEED:\nEssential Criteria:\nMust have experience in software engineering and writing production code in Golang or another strict typed language\nExperience using cloud based serverless services (such as AWS Lamba, Google Cloud Run or Azure Functions)\nMust have a demonstrable knowledge building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines\nExperience designing, setting up databases as well as have an understanding of relational and non-relational approaches\nExperience designing, building and maintaining scalable APIs\nAn understanding of Event Driven Architecture concepts\nExperience using Git and understand branching strategies\nExperience implementing quality and testing best practices within the services you produce, such as unit testing and contract testing\nCommercial Awareness and a creative problem solver with the ability to think laterally and understand the cost and value drivers within a competitive business environment\nCLOSING DATE: 12th October 2026\nLOCATION: Please note this is a hybrid role and requires the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSIQ, Solihull, UK.\nBELONGING AT GYMSHARK.\nOur mission is to be a place where everyone belongs.
