(GZA) is looking for motivated Entry Level Hydrogeologist/ Engineer to join our technical practice in our Brookfield, WI office. As an Entry Level Hydrogeologist/ Engineer, you will work on a wide variety of exciting projects amongst a team of dedicated project managers and principals. Our close-knit culture here at GZA will allow you to apply your expertise and diversify your skill set by participating in challenging projects. You will be mentored by seasoned professional engineers and scientist, who will in turn look to you to share technical knowledge and ideas. Our success relies on this collaborative environment.\nKey Duties:\nPerform field tasks and assist with the technical execution of projects. Tasks will include oversight for drilling, groundwater and soil sampling, vapor and air sampling, data reduction, graphical output of site conditions and data, communications with stakeholders at a minimum.\nConduct and prepare site designs, prepare site investigation reports/Phase II ESAs, and develop recommendations.\nPrepare site checklist for investigation and remedial activities to meet requirements under NR 716 and NR 726.\nAssist with construction/remediation and bid documents including drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.\nPerform well pump tests and utilize well transducers to collect data.\nConduct field and office QA/QC responsibilities.\nGZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities. \nQualifications:\nBachelor's degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, Geochemistry, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field is required. Master’s degree preferred.\nUnderstanding of hydrogeologic and geologic principals and ability to present site conceptual models of project conditions.\nOrganic chemistry knowledge and ability to apply the knowledge for field evaluations.\n1+ years of relevant work experience.\n40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training and EIT certification a plus.\nStrong communication, problem solving and organizational skills.\nAbility to review and understand Wisconsin Administrative Codes (NR 716, NR724, NR726)\nStrong Microsoft Office skills, including ability to incorporate AI for data outputs.\nHighly motivated self-starter with a professional attitude and can interact with management and clients in an effective manner.\nAbility to perform field tasks and activities.\nInquisitive nature and ability to research project and site conditions to assist with field investigation decisions.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nOccasional out-of-town travel will be required.
