Learn more at www.hbfuller.com.\nPosition Title: R&D Scientist Solvent & Waterbased\nLocation: Pirmasens, Germany, Onsite\nPosition Overview\nThe R&D Scientist Solvent & Waterbased will innovate and optimize adhesive and primer systems used in many different market segments, including Woodworking & Composites, Automotive, Transportation, General Industries and others. The position includes full responsibility for formulation development, testing, production scale-up and commercialization of new products. Working in a cross-functional and international environment, the position will drive customer success by delivering innovative solutions, meeting highest requirements in competitive markets.\nPrimary Responsibilities\nConcept development for new product introductions\nPreparation and evaluation of laboratory formulations\nSupport scale-up new of products at manufacturing sites across Europe\nDefine technical specifications, quality parameters and inspection plans for raw materials and finished products.\nSupport Quality teams resolving quality deviations and customer complaints\nCommunication with customers and raw material suppliers\nDocumentation and communication of project progress to internal stakeholders\nOversee the relevant raw material market \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Sourcing, Product Management, Technical Service, Sales, Quality, Regulatory and EHS\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, or graduate engineer with chemical / process engineering orientation\nStrong understanding of chemistry, materials science, and product formulation principles\nExcellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical evaluation skills.\nAbility to manage projects and formulation activities independently in a structured manner.\nStrong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.\nWillingness to travel as required to support international customers with technical solutions and product introductions\nStrong teamwork skills and flexibility\nVery good German and English communication skills, both written and spoken. \nProficiency with Microsoft Office.\nPreferred Requirements\nExperience in the formulation, development, or application of industrial adhesives\nMethodological knowledge of laboratory testing methods, analytical techniques, and product performance evaluation.\nCustomer-facing experience and the ability to translate application requirements into technical solutions\nProficiency with SAP S/4HANA.\n#LI-CR1\nH.B.
