H1

H1 is a healthcare data company headquartered in New York City and founded in 2017. The company maintains a global database of healthcare professionals, their publications, trial history, and affiliations, which pharmaceutical companies use for clinical trial site selection, medical affairs, and commercial targeting. It sells to life sciences organizations and combines licensed and public data sources into a single provider graph.

At H1, we believe access to the best healthcare information is a basic human right. Our mission is to provide a platform that can optimally inform every doctor interaction globally. This promotes health equity and builds needed trust in healthcare systems. To accomplish this our teams harness the power of data and AI-technology to unlock groundbreaking medical insights and convert those insights into action that result in optimal patient outcomes and accelerates an equitable and inclusive drug development lifecycle. As part of H1’s hiring process, all candidates are required to participate in an in-person final interview. Depending on your location, this may require travel.

H1's inorganic growth strategy is maturing. We have already successfully acquired and integrated two acquisitions over the past three years. Now we are looking to continue that record of success on a larger scale and across a wider range of targets. This role will own the financial related activities of the Corp Dev function including financial strategy, target screening, valuation modeling, financial due diligence, synergies analysis, pro-forma financial modeling and integrations planning.

You will work daily with senior leaders and business partners to quarterback key stages of the M&A Corp Dev process. This is a role for both an order taker and order maker. Reporting to the SVP Finance, you will build out the M&A playbook and execute critical phases.

You will:

- Identify and evaluate M&A, strategic investment, partnership, and other business development opportunities

- Build relationships with founders, financial institutions, fintech companies, technology platforms, investors, and other strategic partners

- Develop business cases, financial models, and strategic analyses to evaluate potential transactions and partnerships

- Lead opportunities from initial sourcing and outreach through diligence, negotiation, execution, and launch

- Partner directly with the executive team to evaluate new markets, products, geographies, and strategic initiatives

- Develop clear build, buy, or partner recommendations based on financial, strategic, and operational considerations

- Coordinate cross-functional diligence and execution across Finance, Legal, Compliance, Product, Engineering, and Operations

- Structure and negotiate commercial agreements, strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions

- Build and maintain a pipeline of companies, partners, and opportunities that could be strategically valuable to H1

- Track market developments, competitors, and emerging trends across trading, fintech, payments, financial infrastructure, and adjacent markets

- Support post-transaction integration and help ensure strategic partnerships and acquisitions deliver against their objectives

ABOUT YOU

You are curious and ambitious. You want to know how a business works and what makes them succeed or fail. You don’t know everything, but you use AI tools to learn and develop your knowledge structure. You can build 3-statement financial models that are complete and accurate but also simple and streamlined. You navigate easily between modeling mode, presentation giving and deliverable tracking.

REQUIREMENTS

- 3+ years' experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development or transaction advisory
