The role involves database design, optimization, break-fix support, security administration, automation, and implementation of new database features.\n\nKey Responsibilities :\n\n- Design, administer, optimize, and support DB2 z/OS v12 and IMS v15 databases.\n\n- Work with IMS FF/FP databases and DB2 z/OS data-sharing environments.\n\n- Convert logical database models into physical database designs.\n\n- Perform access path re-engineering and optimization for large-scale databases.\n\n- Administer database security in accordance with zDBMS standards.\n\n- Perform backups, reorganizations, database analysis, and troubleshooting.\n\n- Diagnose and resolve database errors and performance issues.\n\n- Use BMC Admin tools, including Change Manager, for database administration.\n\n- Work with IBM Data Studio, IBM utilities, and BMC utilities for DB2 and IMS.\n\n- Support database feature implementations, automation, and break-fix activities.\n\n- Drive/support application migration initiatives from z/OS to PostgreSQL.\n\n- Support conversion of VSAM tablespaces to Universal Table Spaces (UTS) in preparation for DB2 z/OS v13 and large-scale database growth.\n\n- Support mission-critical applications and large database environments.\n\n- Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams.\n\n- Mentor junior DBAs and
