We're a small, fast-moving team doing hard engineering that matters, and we're looking for people who want to do the best work of their careers alongside us.\nAbout the role\nWe are looking to hire an Assembly Technician who will assist in the manufacturing of prototype electric drive systems and facilitate testing. You should be experienced with standard mechanical system assembly and troubleshooting hardware. You will be a key part of the core engineering team and will have a direct impact on the trajectory of the company.\nWhat you will do:\nAssemble production motor drive systems and sub-systems.\n\nHandle, mix and work with process chemicals and hazardous materials.\n\nAssist in maintenance and upkeep of production processing equipment.\n\nRead, comprehend and perform technical processes as defined by internal work instructions, standards, or other specifications.\n\nCoordinate with manufacturing & design engineers regarding assembly process issues and improvements.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\nHigh intelligence, high energy, and high integrity.\n\nHigh School Diploma or equivalent.\n\n2+ years of hands-on mechanical system experience in the following areas:\nFastening\n\nEpoxy application\n\nComponent fabrication\n\nWiring harness manufacturing\n\nProficiency in comprehending and improving manufacturing processes.\n\nAble to troubleshoot assembly issues.\n\nAble to conceptualize assembly processes from CAD models.\n\nExcellent written and verbal communicator to effectively share knowledge and build the collective mindshare of the company.\n\nOrganized and obsessive attention to detail: no room for oversight when making flight critical systems.\n\nHumble and open-minded: willingness to accept feedback, learn, and consistently improve upon yourself and the products for which you will be responsible.\n\nA high degree of emotional intelligence: ability to collaborate closely with coworkers in a respectful and empathetic manner.\n\nFundamentally curious and motivated my first principles.\n\nThis position requires access to CUI/ITAR/EAR controlled information.\n\nPreferred Experience\nExperience assembling flight qualified aerospace parts.\n\nExperience with the following skillsets: Brazing, Soldering, Milling, Turning, Epoxy encapsulation.\n\nExperience with PCB assembly and wire harnessing.\n\nExperience developing novel manufacturing processes.\n\nExperience with GD&T standards (e.g. ASME Y14.5)\n\nExperience with AS9100 supply chain practices.\n\nExperience with tool calibration processes.\n\nAssociates or technical trade degree.\n\nWhy H3X\nJoining H3X means working on hard, meaningful problems with a skunkworks-style team that's laser-focused on building exceptional products.
