Maintains all mechanical, electrical, and IT systems in the facility in support of our customers. Direct Supervision of the Data Center Support Technician (DCST) team if applicable and provides coordinated direction over all data center facility repairs and change/ install/ expansion efforts. Maintains the data center campus landscape and irrigation. Reviews, approves, and processes all financial and accounts payable for the site.\nThis position manages and schedules the facilities Data Center Support Technicians, Building Engineers and contractors.\nThis position reports to the Director or VP of Operations\nEssential Job Functions\nMaintain 100% availability in Colocation data center within critical facility.\nProvides supervision to the team of Data Center Support Technicians, contractors and/or Building Engineers\nManage staff providing schedules, training, preparedness, and growth.\nManages operation and maintenance of all environmental and power systems to ensure 100% availability to data center floors including building management system control and coordinating efforts with contractors.\nResponsible for customer support and satisfaction\nEstimates time and materials needed to complete repairs and new projects.\nContribute to creating, tracking and maintaining operational budget for facility.\nReview, code, and approve all accounts payable activity for the site.\nMay review and approve all customer charges for the facility.\nDirects, oversees, supervises, and inspects the work performed by outside contractors.\nProvides 24x7x365 on call support to provide continuous operations.\nManage all contracts, procedures and service agreements to ensure proper compliance.\nResponsible for managing maintenance work order and asset tracking software, including uploading new work orders and processes as required.\nEnsures operating parameters, maintenance schedules, procedures, are followed and refined as necessary.\nMaintains all drawings, project documentation, and space planning for the site.\nComplies with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations, physical security and work safety.\nResponsible for building management system control and coordinating efforts with controls contractors.\nWrite and track root cause of all problems and malfunctions taking corrective action and process improvements as required.\nCommunicate complex technical information to multiple people with various levels of technical knowledge.\nResponsible for increasing efficiencies and maintaining reliability of all mechanical and electrical systems.\nRisk analysis and creation of scopes of work related to preventative maintenance and resolution needs on building and facility equipment.\nCommunicate to visitors, vendors, contractors, customers, and management daily.\nQualifications\nEducation:\n5 years of experience in a Data Center environment \n5 years’ experience related to commercial facility and supporting system management.\nExperience with building automation systems, implementation, and management \nHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. \nBachelor’s Degree and/or professional certifications in related field(s) preferred.\nExperience:\nComprehensive knowledge of \nElectrical\nMechanical\nIndustrial HVAC\nPlumbing systems\nStrong team management, coaching, & leadership abilities\nUnderstanding of Data Center Best Practices and ASRHAE standards\nKnowledge of \nBuilding system design\nFire prevention and monitoring systems\nElectrical distribution\nHVAC systems\nExcellent customer service\nHigh level interpersonal communication skills \nDecisions made with understanding of procedures and company policies to achieve set results and deadlines.\nComprehensive knowledge of Office software packages required and abilities in AutoCAD, and/ or Visio a plus.\nSkills and Abilities\nPhysical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders and ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs.\nAble to read complex building drawings and schematics.\nAble to evaluate the importance and urgency of projects based on cost, risk, safety,
