In this role, you will be responsible for wiring and installing electrical systems, as well as ensuring quality in the electrical components of our air handling units.\nWhy Join Haakon Industries?\nCompetitive pay: $21.80 - $30.00/hour, based on experience \nFull-time, year round employment\nHeated and air-conditioned work environment\nEmployer-paid Medical, Dental, and Life Insurance benefits\nPaid holidays and wellness programs\nCompany-sponsored social and team-building events\nSafety boot reimbursement \nOn the job training and skill development\nCross-training opportunities across departments\nOpportunities to take on increased responsibility as your skills grow\nOpportunities to advance into Trainer, Lead Hand and Supervisor roles\nA company culture built on teamwork, respect and continuous improvement\n\nYour Responsibilities:\nElectrical Panel Assembly: Build and wire electrical panels for HVAC units, ensuring all components meet design specifications\nConduit Installation: Install conduit and pull wires for lighting circuits and motor power circuits, following safety protocols\nDevice Installation: Install disconnects, variable frequency drives (VFDs) and other electrical devices\nBlueprint Reading: Accurately read and interpret blueprints to guide layout, fabrication and wiring\nMeasurement: Use measuring tools to perform mathematical calculations, including converting fractions to decimals, to ensure precision\nTool Use: Operate air and electric hand tools efficiently to complete tasks effectively\nPhysical Labour: Work from heights, lift and carry heavy items and maintain a quick, steady pace throughout the shift\nIndependent Work: Perform tasks independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals\nTeam Collaboration: Work effectively in a team environment with strong verbal communication skills\nSafety & Compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and maintain knowledge of ETL and NEC standards\n\n What We’re Looking For:\nExperience\nMinimum 1 year of electrical experience (preferred)\nMinimum 1 year of manufacturing experience (preferred)\n\nSkills & Qualifications\nMechanical aptitude and willingness to learn\nAbility to read and interpret drawings and measurements\nStrong attention to detail\nAbility to perform physically demanding work\nStrong communication and teamwork skills\nReliable transportation required\nJob Details:\nJob Type: Full-time, Indoor\nLocation: Kingston, ON (On-Site)\nStarting Wage: $21.80 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience \n\nShift Schedule:\nRotating early mornings and afternoon shifts\nMonday – Friday: 5:45 am – 2:15 pm\nMonday – Thursday: 2:30 pm – 12:30 am\nEvery other Friday off\nWeekend shifts not required\nOccasional overtime available based on production requirements\nGrow With Us\nAt Haakon, we believe in developing our employees for long-term success.
