Joining now means you'll have a direct role in shaping the foundation of Haast - our culture, engineering process, testing discipline, partner relationships, and the path from prototype to a real medical logistics network.\nWe’re looking for high-agency people who want ownership, urgency, and system-level impact from day one.\nThe Role\nHaast is seeking a meticulous Avionics & Electrical Integration Technician to build and maintain the electrical systems used across our aircraft and ground-test platforms.\nYou will perform precision soldering, manufacture wiring harnesses, integrate avionics and propulsion components, and inspect every electrical assembly before it is installed on an aircraft. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in clean workmanship, careful documentation, and building reliable hardware.\nResponsibilities\nPerform precision soldering, wire splicing, connector termination, and electrical rework\n\nManufacture aircraft wiring harnesses from drawings, schematics, and pinout tables\n\nCrimp, assemble, label, route, secure, and inspect aircraft wiring\n\nIntegrate flight controllers, ESCs, motors, batteries, sensors, radios, GPS units, cameras, actuators, and power-distribution hardware\n\nInstall appropriate strain relief, shielding, grounding, abrasion protection, and cable management\n\nConduct continuity, resistance, insulation, polarity, and power-on testing\n\nDiagnose intermittent connections, communication faults, voltage drops, and other electrical issues\n\nInspect assemblies for solder quality, connector engagement, routing, and mechanical security\n\nSupport aircraft assembly, ground testing, flight testing, repairs, and rapid prototype iterations\n\nMaintain wiring diagrams, harness records, inspection checklists, and aircraft build documentation\n\nOrganize and maintain electrical tools, components, connectors, and consumable inventory\n\nHelp establish repeatable workmanship and quality-control standards as the company scales\n\nRequired Qualifications\nDemonstrated experience with precision soldering and electrical assembly\n\nExperience building wiring harnesses and terminating electrical connectors\n\nProficiency with crimpers, soldering stations, heat guns, multimeters, power supplies, and common electrical hand tools\n\nAbility to read wiring diagrams, connector pinouts, schematics, and assembly drawings\n\nStrong attention to detail and commitment to clean, repeatable workmanship\n\nAbility to identify and troubleshoot electrical faults methodically\n\nComfortable working independently in a fast-moving prototype environment\n\nAbility to work safely around high-voltage and high-current battery systems\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nIPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, or equivalent training\n\nExperience in aerospace, aviation, drones, robotics, automotive, motorsports, or industrial electronics\n\nExperience with Molex, JST, TE Connectivity, Deutsch, Amphenol, D-sub, XT-series, and circular connectors\n\nExperience with CAN, UART, I²C, Ethernet, PWM, RS-232, or RS-485 systems\n\nExperience with lithium-ion or lithium-polymer battery systems\n\nFamiliarity with PX4, ArduPilot, CubePilot, or similar autopilot systems\n\nExperience inspecting or reworking printed circuit boards\n\nFamiliarity with aerospace wire, shielding, grounding, and EMI-management practices\n\nWhat Success Looks Like\nAircraft wiring is clean, documented, serviceable, and reliable\n\nHarnesses consistently pass inspection and electrical testing\n\nElectrical faults are identified before they affect flight testing\n\nPrototype changes are implemented quickly without compromising workmanship\n\nBuild and inspection processes become increasingly repeatable as the fleet grows\n\nWe care more about agency, ownership, taste, and evidence that you can build than whether you match every bullet point.
