It’s how we make complex cybersecurity topics understandable, turn original research into insights people remember, and build trust with security leaders.\nAs our Content Marketing Manager, you’ll help find and tell those stories. You’ll lead key parts of our content program, including the HackerOne blog, annual research, search optimization, and editorial standards. You’ll work with experts across HackerOne to uncover interesting ideas, find the story in the data, and turn technical expertise into content that is clear, useful, and worth reading.\nThis role is part editor, part storyteller, and part content strategist. You’ll bring strong editorial judgment, curiosity, and an audience-first mindset to what we create, while using data, search insights, and AI tools to help our content reach the right people and make a measurable impact.\nWhat You Will Do\nManage the HackerOne blog, including the editorial calendar, story development, publishing, optimization, and performance tracking.\n\nLead the development of HackerOne’s annual research and flagship reports, finding the strongest stories in our data and working with internal experts and partners to turn those insights into compelling narratives.\n\nFind stories across HackerOne by interviewing subject matter experts, asking the right questions, and identifying perspectives that can strengthen our thought leadership.\n\nTurn complex cybersecurity topics into clear, engaging content for security leaders without losing the substance or expertise behind them.\n\nHelp execute our answer engine optimization (AEO) and search engine optimization (SEO) strategy, using search data and audience insights to identify opportunities and improve content performance.\n\nMaintain and apply HackerOne’s Style Guide to ensure our content is clear, consistent, and distinctly HackerOne.\n\nManage the content intake process, helping teams sharpen ideas, prioritize requests, and move strong stories from concept to publication.\n\nMultiply the impact of our best stories by adapting content for campaigns, social media, and audience engagement.\n\nMeasure content performance and use those insights to understand what resonates with our audience and inform what we create next.\n\nUse AI tools throughout the content process to support research, idea development, drafting, editing, optimization, and repurposing while maintaining strong human editorial judgment.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n3+ years of experience in content marketing, editorial, journalism, or a related role.\n\nA strong storyteller with demonstrated experience finding an interesting angle, building a clear narrative, and making complex subjects engaging and accessible.\n\nExcellent writing, editing, and interviewing skills, with strong editorial judgment and attention to detail.\n\nExperience developing research-driven content, reports, or thought leadership and turning data and expert insights into stories for a specific audience.\n\nExperience managing a content program, publication, or editorial calendar.\n\nExperience with SEO and/or AEO, including keyword research, content optimization, and performance measurement.\n\nExperience using AI tools to support content creation, research, optimization, or other marketing workflows.\n\nStrong collaboration and project management skills, with the ability to work across teams and bring ideas from concept to publication.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience creating content for B2B technology, cybersecurity, or another technical industry.\n\nA background in journalism, editorial, research, or another field where interviewing and story development are core skills.\n\nFamiliarity with content and search performance tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or similar tools.\n\nExperience adapting stories and content for social media and other marketing channels.\n\nExperience partnering with product marketing, demand generation, communications, or product teams.\n\nCuriosity about how search, AI, and changing audience behaviors are reshaping content and storytelling.\n\nJob Benefits:\nHealth (medical, vision, dental), life, and disability insurance*\n\nEquity stock options\n\nRetirement plans\n\nPaid public holidays and unlimited PTO\n\nPaid maternity and parental leave\n\nLeaves of absence (including caregiver leave and leave under CO's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act)\n\nEmployee Assistance Program\n\n*Eligibility may differ by country\nWe're committed to building a global team!
