Engineering Manager - Data

Responsibilities:

• Own and drive the technical roadmap for the Data Engineering team, planning and delivering every quarter.
• Execute product plans and manage delivery commitments with a strong focus on quality and timelines.
• Architect and build scalable backend systems, data pipelines, and infrastructure components aligned with 12-factor app principles.
• Design and implement robust data warehouses and data strategies for SaaS products.
• Define clear quarterly goals for the team and guide execution to achieve measurable outcomes.
• Mentor engineers and help them deliver to the best of their abilities.
• Set clear career paths for team members and support their professional growth.
• Lead technical discussions and help engineers make critical architectural and design decisions.
• Partner closely with the product team to develop and curate the data and platform roadmap.

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software development experience with 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
• Strong architecture and system design skills with experience building large-scale web services.
• Hands-on experience designing and developing backend systems, data pipelines, and infrastructure components.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, especially AWS.
• Experience designing and building data warehouses.
• Experience in defining and executing a data strategy for SaaS products.
• Strong technical leadership with the ability to drive critical technical discussions.
