We’re now building a world-class team to bring this vision to life.\nThe Role\nAs a (Senior) R&D Engineer Thermofluids at Hades, you will conceptualize, design and develop our novel mud delivery, extraction, and cooling systems. You will work closely with the technical founding team and the multidisciplinary team of engineers, geologists, and scientists to make ultra-deep drilling fast and cheap.\nQualifications\nWe are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual who possesses:\nDeep thermofluids expertise: CFD, heat transfer with multiphase, rheology and thermofluid dynamics\nAbility to own the modelling stack: recommend and help establish appropriate modelling and simulation toolsets\nExperiment-driven R&D DNA: proficient in designing benchtop rigs, instruments (pressure/flow/temp), analysis of results to calibrate and improve models\nPrior experience with mud systems, geothermal, O&G, or deep mining is a plus\nDegree in Mechanical, Thermal, or Fluids Engineering; PhD preferred (or equivalent depth)\nExcellent written and oral communication skills in English\nWillingness to reside in the greater Munich area\nWhy Hades?\nAt Hades, you'll be part of a high-growth, high-impact deep-tech startup making a tangible difference.
