The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, extensive industrial electrical experience, and a proven track record of managing electrical projects while ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.\nThis position is responsible for supervising electrical technicians and contractors, supporting facility operations, managing electrical infrastructure reliability, and driving safety, quality, and operational excellence initiatives. The successful candidate will serve as the facility's electrical subject matter expert and support both maintenance and capital improvement projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in industrial electrical systems, team leadership, electrical troubleshooting, compliance, and project execution.\nEssential Responsibilities\nSupervise and develop a team of electricians, technicians, and contractors supporting facility operations.\n\nPlan, coordinate, and oversee electrical maintenance activities, including preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency repairs.\n\nLead troubleshooting efforts for electrical systems, motors, controls, power distribution equipment, and manufacturing support systems.\n\nManage electrical infrastructure projects from planning through commissioning, ensuring adherence to budgets and schedules.\n\nReview and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical documentation.\n\nSupport facility expansion, equipment installation, and capital expenditure (CapEx) projects.\n\nEnsure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC, local building codes, and company safety requirements.\n\nConduct safety audits, toolbox talks, risk assessments, and electrical safety training.\n\nMonitor contractor performance and ensure quality workmanship and compliance with facility standards.\n\nMaintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, project documentation, and regulatory compliance reports.\n\nDrive reliability improvements and root-cause analysis activities to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.\n\nCollaborate with Facilities, Engineering, Production, EHS, and Operations teams to support business objectives.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\nAssociate degree in Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.\n\nAlabama Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent electrical certification preferred.\n\nMinimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience.\n\nMinimum 3 years of leadership, supervisory, or foreman experience.\n\nStrong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.\n\nExperience working in manufacturing, industrial, semiconductor, automotive, or similar facilities.\n\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience with medium-voltage systems up to 15kV.\n\nOSHA 30 Certification.\n\nNFPA 70E Certification.\n\nCPR Certification.\n\nExperience managing contractors and capital projects.\n\nConstruction supervision or project management training.\n\nTechnical Skills\nIndustrial electrical systems and power distribution.\n\nMotor controls, MCCs, and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).\n\nElectrical testing and diagnostic equipment.\n\nPreventive and predictive maintenance programs.\n\nBlueprint and schematic interpretation.\n\nLockout/Tagout procedures and electrical safety practices.\n\nElectrical system commissioning and startup support.\n\nBudgeting, scheduling, and project coordination.\n\nLeadership Competencies\nStrong team leadership and employee development skills.\n\nEffective communication across multiple organizational levels.\n\nAbility to prioritize workload in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.\n\nCommitment to safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.\n\nBenefits for Full-time Employees\nMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees 401k\n\nRelocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.\n\nFlexible vacation policy\n\nEquity\n\nITAR Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
