This role is closest to a manufacturing engineer focused on maintenance, and will own the content, scheduling, and process behind preventative, reactive, and predictive maintenance.\nThis person will be responsible for developing and optimizing our maintenance execution process and strategy, with direct impact on machine uptime, repair costs, and the processes executed by dozens of operators. They will work closely with Factory Technicians and Leads, Supply Chain, Maintenance Specialists and Technicians, Production Scheduling, and Factory Development.\nThis is a high-ownership role for someone excited to build a process from the ground up using modern tools and systems. The right candidate will help lay the foundation for how Hadrian manages preventative and predictive maintenance, and can influence procurement, CMMS development, and future machine selection as the company scales.\nWhat You’ll Do\nMaintenance Strategy & Asset Reliability\nDevelop, implement, and continuously improve preventive maintenance (PM) programs for CNC machines, robotics, and automated systems \nImplement predictive maintenance (PdM) strategies using condition monitoring and equipment data \nAnalyze equipment performance and trends to improve uptime, reduce failures, and extend asset life \nLead root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues \nMaintain accurate records of machine configurations, upgrades, and maintenance history \nDefine and track key maintenance KPIs (uptime, MTBF, MTTR, PM compliance)\nSystems, Data & Process Optimization\nManage and optimize CMMS, including work order workflows, scheduling, and data integrity \nDevelop dashboards and reporting to monitor maintenance performance and drive decision-making \nStandardize maintenance procedures, checklists, and documentation \nIdentify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and maintenance costs\nTechnician Support & Cross-Functional Collaboration\nProvide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to maintenance technicians \nPartner with production, engineering, and quality teams to improve machine reliability and performance \nSupport new equipment installation, commissioning, and integration into maintenance programs \nCoordinate with OEMs and vendors for repairs, upgrades, and technical support\nSafety & Compliance\nEnsure all maintenance activities follow safety standards and procedures (e.g., lockout/tagout) \nPromote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal requirements\nWhat We’re Looking For\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering field, or equivalent experience \n3-7+ years of experience in CNC, manufacturing, or automation maintenance/reliability \nStrong understanding of CNC machines, PLCs, and industrial systems \nExperience with CMMS and maintenance planning tools \nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills \nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment \nStrong written and verbal communication skills\nWhat Will Set You Apart\nExperience with predictive maintenance tools (vibration analysis, thermography, IoT monitoring) \nKnowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles \nFamiliarity with CNC/automation platforms (e.g., FANUC, Siemens, Haas) \nExperience supporting high-mix or high-end manufacturing\nBenefits for Full-time Employees\nMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees 401k\n\nRelocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.\n\nFlexible vacation policy\n\nEquity\n\nITAR Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
