You will own the success of every build that runs through the facility, across both polymer (FDM) and metal (LPBF). That means you run the machines, prep build files, troubleshoot failures onsite, disposition non-conformances, and write the work instructions and standards that keep production consistent and in spec. This role reports to the Director of AM Applications Engineering in Los Angeles, but the job lives onsite in Texarkana.\nWhat You’ll Do:\nBe the boots on the ground for the AM machines onsite, across both polymer (FDM) and metal (LPBF).\n\nOwn build success for both polymer and metal components. This includes COCs, FAIR, compliance, and parts being in spec.\n\nPrep build files when needed.\n\nTroubleshoot build failures and production issues on the premises.\n\nBe the first line of defense for creating and dispositioning NCRs.\n\nDevelop the work instructions for each part that runs through the facility.\n\nCreate onsite standards for support removal, part cleaning, inspection, and other post-processing steps.\n\nInfluence DfAM inputs to parts to improve manufacturability and build success.\n\nAssist with LPBF and FDM machine maintenance, turnover, and setup as needed.\n\nKeep build records and document what works so the facility keeps improving.\n\nCoordinate with the LA-based AM Applications Engineering team, Quality, and Operations to keep onsite execution aligned with program requirements.\n\nWhat We’re Looking For:\nB.S. or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.\n\n2+ years in additive manufacturing, process or manufacturing engineering, or applications engineering.\n\nDirect hands-on experience with LPBF and/or FDM systems, including materials, process parameters, machine operation, and common failure modes.\n\nExperience owning build execution and troubleshooting build failures in a production environment.\n\nAble to prep and adjust build files when needed.\n\nFamiliarity with quality processes: COCs, FAIR, NCR creation and dispositioning, and parts conformance to spec.\n\nAble to write clear work instructions and set onsite process standards.\n\nHands-on DfAM understanding, with the ability to evaluate parts for AM suitability and manufacturability.\n\nFamiliarity with engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerance interpretation, and inspection planning.\n\nAble to work independently and deliver on commitments with a leadership team based in another location.\n\nU.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident required (ITAR).\n\nWhat Will Set You Apart:\nExperience working with the government or at customer sites.
