By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.\nFollowing our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.\nBacked by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing-and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.\nIf you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.\nThe Role:\nThe Finance team at Hadrian drives both the strategic direction and the day-to-day execution of our advanced manufacturing mission. We work closely with every function, from Manufacturing Operations to Program Management and Automation, to build the company plan and deploy capital with discipline as we scale out our capabilities.\nAs a Program Finance Associate, you’ll own the economics of Hadrian’s newly contracted programs from contract signature through at-rate production. You’ll be the dedicated finance partner to the program leaders and engineers standing up each program. You’ll own its baseline budget and forecast, shape and monitor its spend, and maintain a live Estimate at Completion. By being hands-on in this role, you’ll have the opportunity to steer large capital decisions, identify problems and help resolve them in real time, and create value throughout the lifecycle of the program.\nThis is a technical finance role. You’ll need to understand how a program actually gets built, from new equipment procurement and facility construction to cycle times and resourcing. You’ll also work with central FP&A to incorporate program forecasts into the company plan and bring execution reality into the deal-making process so that future contracts and financing are structured appropriately.\nWhat You’ll Do\nBe the dedicated finance partner to leaders and engineers on Hadrian’s newly contracted programs, from contract award to at-rate production\n\nOwn program budgets, baselines, and EACs. Turn contracted economics into a measurable, working budget for capex, headcount and operating cost that program teams can execute against and be held accountable to\n\nTrack and challenge capital spend (factory construction, equipment and tooling) from approved budget through to commissioning\n\nBuild bottoms-up cost models from engineering inputs and new systems that show how each program is performing against its contract, its baseline and the company plan\n\nEvaluate in-flight decisions such as scope changes, equipment substitutions, scheduling, and make-vs-buys\n\nBuild and own the view of each program’s financials. Work with Accounting to make sure costs are captured, coded, and capitalized correctly\n\nSpend time on the factory floor and in engineering reviews\n\nPrepare materials for planning cycles, business reviews, and leadership updates\n\nProvide feedback and data to Growth Finance and Capital Markets so contracts and financing are properly structured\n\nWhat We’re Looking For\n3-6 years of experience in FP&A, project finance, corporate finance, investment banking, consulting, or a similar analytical role (such as mechanical/industrial engineering)\n\nStrong Excel skills, including building financial models from scratch\n\nComfort reading a BOM, quote, or construction schedule and translating it into a forecast\n\nWorking knowledge of SQL, or a strong interest in learning it quickly\n\nSolid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and the three financial statements\n\nExceptional attention to detail and responsiveness, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines\n\nClear communication skills and comfort working with technical teams outside of finance\n\nCuriosity, ownership, and a drive to learn fast in a fast-changing environment\n\nWhat Will Set You Apart\nAn engineering degree or hands-on experience in manufacturing, process or industrial engineering\n\nExperience in aerospace and defense, advanced manufacturing, automotive, semiconductors, energy or another asset-heavy industry\n\nFinancial or technical ownership of large capital projects such as factory builds, equipment installs or production line launches\n\nExperience with EAC forecasting or program cost control\n\nWorking knowledge of government contracting\n\nNetSuite or comparable ERP experience. Power BI, Tableau or similar dashboarding experience\n\nA builder mindset: you’d rather fix a broken process than work around it\n\nCompensation\nFor this role, the target salary range is $160,000 - $185,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).\nThis is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.\nBenefits for Full-time Employees\nMedical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees 401k\n\nRelocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.\n\nFlexible vacation policy\n\nEquity\n\nITAR Requirements\nTo conform to U.S. Government export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen or national, lawful permanent resident, protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State. Learn more about the ITAR here.\nUse of AI in hiring\nHadrian uses AI-assisted tools in our recruiting and hiring processes to help our team work more efficiently. This may include tools that help organize and analyze recruiting data, as well as an AI-powered notetaker that can record and transcribe interviews and help coordinate feedback. These tools support our team and are not used to make hiring decisions. All candidate evaluations and hiring decisions are performed by humans. If an interview will be recorded, you will be notified in advance and may opt out at any time with no impact on your candidacy. Candidate data processed through these tools is subject to the same protections described in our Privacy Policy.\nConsideration of Criminal History\nHadrian will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with the requirements of all applicable laws. We do not ask about criminal history on our application, and we do not consider criminal history before making a conditional offer of employment.\nHadrian Is An Equal Opportunity Employer\nHadrian does not unlawfully discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, national origin/ethnicity, veteran status, disability status, age, sexual orientation, marital status, mental status, physical disability or any other legally protected status.
