He/she supports the procurement related requests/ projects & contract development for HX-HKG and other group companies in Hong Kong.\nWhat You'll Do\nAct as project manager / Subject expert to assigned category(ies) and projects to ensure effective communication on projects & sourcing requests to ensure customer satisfaction and manage expectations. \nConduct cost saving studies and make recommendation on contract development.\nAssist procurement manager to manage procurement activities of the assigned categories.\nTo act as the key buyer and subject matter expert for responsible categories, including but not limited to, vendor selection, proposal evaluation, developing and negotiating contract terms & conditions. Additionally, this position manages the contract execution process, resolving problems, mitigating delays, mediating disputes and escalating issues.\nTo monitor the performance of the agreements and the overall relationship with the vendors, including but not limited to, providing constructive feedback to suppliers for better performance and future development. \nTo handle daily procurement duties, executing projects and leading tender exercises and contract development in a transparent, fair and professional way.\nTo provide input and execute the mid-term to long-term procurement strategies.\nTo collaborate with teams and influence relevant stakeholders effectively.\nTo initiate and lead projects at both local & regional levels, such as market research, benchmarking exercises, information analysis and contract development, to facilitate understanding of supply base and market trends.\nTo lead the assigned taskforces/working teams for procurement related studies and/or process improvement.\nWhat You'll Need\n1. Job Requirements & Competencies\nTo lead projects and facilitate the team with high quality of work and implementation of good procurement practices & control.\nTo resolve operation problems, enhance cross team communication and review key supplier performance.\nTo lead the projects or being contract manager for those purchase recommendation & decision with a longer term and higher financial impact to the company and the group.\nTo carry out strategic analysis on data for development of cost saving opportunities and execution of proper risk management.\nTo be actively involved in staff engagement initiatives and process improvement projects.\n2. Qualification & Experience\nRecognized degree in any disciplines, business / management related an advantage.\nProfessional qualification in procurement & supply is preferred.\nMinimum of 5 years of procurement experience.\nProduct and market knowledge in related category of purchases is an advantage.\nExcellent command of English and Chinese, both spoken and written.\nHAECO Group is an equal opportunity employer.
