If you are seeking a career that is challenging and rewarding, a work environment that is diverse and dynamic, look no further - Haemonetics is your employer of choice.\nJob Details\nPosition Summary:\nThe Senior Automation Applications Engineer is responsible for leading the development and implementation of custom automated manufacturing equipment across the Haemonetics global manufacturing network.\nThe successful candidate will develop automation requirements and equipment specifications, provide technical oversight throughout machine design and implementation, and lead design reviews to ensure solutions meet business, quality, and operational objectives.Projects may support multiple global manufacturing locations and require travel of up to 25%.\nPrimary Responsibilities:\nAutomation Strategy and Project Leadership\nServe as a lead automation engineering representative for capital automation projects across the Haemonetics manufacturing network.\n\nLead automation initiatives from concept development through equipment qualification and handoff to operations.\n\nIdentify automation opportunities that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.\n\nRequirements Development and Equipment Specifications\nDevelop automation requirements, including URS(user requirement specifications), FRS(functional requirement specifications), technical specifications, performance criteria, and equipment acceptance requirements in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders.\n\nSupport the development and standardization of automation templates, equipment specifications, and project execution practices.\n\nAutomation Integrator and Vendor Management\nServe as a primary technical point of contact between Haemonetics and external automation partners.\n\nReview automation integrator deliverables, including mechanical designs, electrical designs, controls architecture, HMI concepts, software functional specifications, and safety system designs.\n\nProvide engineering oversight throughout design, fabrication, assembly, testing, installation, and startup.\n\nDesign Reviews and Technical Governance\nLead design reviews throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring manufacturability, maintainability, serviceability, and scalability requirements are incorporated into equipment designs.\n\nEquipment Implementation and Startup\nLead FAT(factory acceptance testing), SAT(site acceptance testing), commissioning, and startup activities to ensure equipment meets defined requirements and performance objectives.\n\nSupport installation, integration, startup, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of automated manufacturing systems.\n\nValidation and Compliance\nPartner with Quality and Validation teams to support equipment qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and ensure compliance with FDA, ISO, GMP, and internal quality requirements.\n\nEnsure project documentation supports validation, regulatory, and audit requirements.\n\nQualifications:\nBachelor's Degree in Engineering.Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related degree preferred. Master’s degree in Engineering or Business preferred.\n\n8+ years of experience in industrial automation engineeringpreferred.\n\nExperience developing automated manufacturing systems from concept through production deployment.\n\nExperience writing equipment specifications, user requirements, and technical design requirements.\n\nExperience managing third-party automation integrators, OEMs, or machine builders.\n\nExperience leading or supporting Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).\n\nExperience supporting equipment startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.\n\nExperience managing or supporting capital automation projects. Automated assembly, inspection, packaging, or material handling systems preferred.\n\nProject management experience leading cross-functional teams.\n\nCredentials inProject Managementor Six Sigma preferred.\n\nTravel Requirements\nUp to 25% domestic and international travel.\n\nLocation- Clinton, Pennsylvania.
