If you are seeking a career that is challenging and rewarding, a work environment that is diverse and dynamic, look no further - Haemonetics is your employer of choice.\nJob Details\nRole Overview\nThis position is primarily a technical leadership role with additional responsibility for coordinating projects and driving execution.\nThe successful candidate will:\nLead electrical engineering activities for product development and enhancements\nWork closely with Malaysia & Boston R&D Team on design, problem solving, and technical direction\nPartner with suppliers and contract manufacturers in the region\nSupport project execution, timelines, and cross-functional alignment\nKey Responsibilities\nTechnical Leadership\nLead and contribute to electrical design activities, including analog and digital circuit design, system integration, and troubleshooting\nProvide technical direction for complex electromechanical systems\nParticipate in design reviews and ensure designs meet performance, reliability, and regulatory requirements\nSupport verification, validation, and root cause analysis for product issues\nProduct Development & Sustaining Engineering\nSupport new product development, design enhancements, and quality improvements\nEnsure designs are documented and released in accordance with design control and quality system requirements\nDrive engineering solutions from concept through production\nSupplier & Manufacturing Interface\nWork closely with regional suppliers, including PCB design and contract manufacturers\nProvide technical support to resolve supplier-related issues and improve product quality\nEnsure strong alignment between design requirements and manufacturing capabilities\nProgram Coordination\nSupport planning, scheduling, and tracking of engineering activities across multiple projects\nCollaborate with team members to meet milestones and deliverables\nCommunicate project status, risks, and solutions across global teams\nCross-Functional Collaboration\nPartner with Mechanical, Software, Quality & Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams\nWork effectively across global time zones, especially with Boston-based R&D\nQualifications\nBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering\nTypically 5-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in medical devices or other high-reliability industries (e.g., automotive, aerospace)\nStrong experience in analog and digital design and troubleshooting\nProven experience working on complex electromechanical systems\nExperience supporting products from concept through production\nExperience working in regulated environments (e.g., ISO 13485, IEC standards such as IEC 60601)\nExperience working with contract manufacturers and suppliers, especially PCB design and assembly\nExperience in manufacturing or operations environments\nDemonstrated ability to lead technical work.\nStrong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong technical depth in electrical engineering\nAbility to balance hands-on engineering with project coordination responsibilities\nClear and effective communication in English (written and verbal)\nStructured and disciplined approach to documentation and quality systems\nAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a global organization\nThis role is critical to building a strong R&D presence in Malaysia and strengthening collaboration with global teams.
