APPLICANTS MUST HAVE EXISTING AUTHORISATION TO WORK IN THE UK\nWho are we looking for?\nMain Purpose of the role:\nTo ensure accurate, timely, and efficient verification and control of raw materials to agreed standards\nTo ensure supplier delivery documentation (including Certificates f Analysis) is reviewed, verified against raw material specifications, and approved prior to use\nTo manage raw material compliance, including verification testing, data trending, and escalation of non-conformances\nTo ensure LIMS, stock control systems, and raw material data records are accurate, complete, and audit ready\nTo support raw material quality risk assessments by reviewing analytical data and material specific risks to define and refine testing and verification\nTo ensure documentation is audit ready at all times\nTo ensure hygiene and cleanliness of equipment and working areas are to the required standards\nKey Responsibilities:\nLaboratory Testing (Raw Materials):\nDaily testing of raw material samples using defined methodology and according to schedule\nEnsure results are recorded accurately and any deviations from raw material specifications are identified and escalated to the supplier quality assurance (SQA) team for review and specification update where required\nEnsure all equipment is maintained in good working order and verified / calibrated according to schedule\nData entry of results onto LIMS and Lab control systems\nConfirm pass or fail status of raw materials and escalate as required; support release or rejection decisions\nData Management and Trending:\nMaintain accurate and up to date LIMS data, raw material records, and testing logs\nGenerate and maintain trend reports for key raw materials\nIdentify trends, deviations, and emerging risks and escalate appropriately\nSupport development and validation of raw material testing methods through structured data collection and analysis\nAdministration and Documentation Control:\nDaily maintenance of all laboratory and raw material documentation to ensure audit readiness\nVerify and archive Certificates of Analysis and supplier documentation\nCreate and complete records of non-conforming raw materials and support investigations\nGeneral:\nMaintain clean and tidy equipment and working areas for availability at all times\nMaintain storage and rotation of retained raw material samples (where applicable)\nSupport supplier complaints and internal non-conformance investigations\nActively participate in relevant site and technical meetings\nMaintain acceptable levels of laboratory consumables and initiate orders as required\nCarry out any additional management request within the reasonable scope of the role\nEngage proactively in support of other sites as reasonably required\nMust have driving licence and own transport\nMust be willing to attend training/cover at Hitchin and Bedford sites\nCandidate Profile\nEducated to GCSE Level or equivalent\nExperience in a Laboratory / QA role or similar\nMust be able to reliably commute to place of work and /or other sites if required to do so within the role\nGood verbal & written communication skills\nGood level of numeracy skills\nStrong awareness of Health & Safety\nGood level of English both written and spoken\nAble to work well with people of all levels within the organisation\nAbility to work well under pressure\nDemonstrate a responsible and proactive attitude\nBe able to self motivate\nCommitment to team working\nUnderstanding of equality, diversity & inclusion showing respect and dignity to all in the workplace\nCommunicates with courtesy and listens with respect to the views of *others\nStrong awareness and vigilant approach to Health & Safety, Quality, Food Safety and Safe Systems of WorkingealtH\nCommitment to align behaviours with the ‘Solina Way’ as shown below\nDriving licence and transport\nBenefits\nCompetitive benefits\nLinkedIn\nWe are open to talents of all backgrounds.
