We create dynamic relationships where our creativity can be visible through our customers culinary vision making “Food Matter.”\nSUMMARY OF POSITION\nThe Senior Food Technologist will provide Research & Development, lead projects and document all results as well as the research of programs to drive cost optimization through formulation and processing efficiencies, create new prototypes for product development initiatives, and identify/approve potential ingredient and manufacturing suppliers.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS\nThis document in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the employee occupying the position.\nCreates novel seasonings for various items with minimum oversight.\nMatches seasonings to various applications.\nContacts vendors for novel ingredients and technology.\nCollaborates with internal and external teams, including sales, business development, quality assurance, operations, and customer service.\nManages projects, ensuring timely communication and meeting deadlines.\nProvides formulas, ingredient statements, and usage instructions.\nConducts sensory evaluations on products.\nProvides technical and operational support as needed.\nTraining and developing R&D people.\nWorks with QA on labeling and food safety.\nCollaborates with internal departments and external partners to create and implement business models.\nMust have the ability to interact with customers.\nPerform additional duties as given by the direct manager.\nREQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND EXPERIENCE\nAny combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:\nBachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related degree.\n3+ years of related experience\nSauce Experience (hot fill and cold fill technology)\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\nUnderstanding of methods and ingredients.
