Additionally, the team is responsible for daily check processes and any other tasks assigned by the department management team.\nEssential Functions\nIntake and initial set up of claims for property and/or general liability claims\nProcess loss and expense payments in collaboration with the Claims Supervisor\nDaily check processing, including reconciliation of checks\nFormat and distribute coverage letters\nFiling Maintenance\nAssist with department vouchers\nISO Claim search weekly reports and inquiry distribution for general liabilityISO only subrogation claims for property\n\nMaintain relationships with all departments within HAI Group’s Insurance Operations\nAssist with monitoring, ordering and maintaining department supplies\nProvide support to the claims management team and examiners where needed\nProvide support for external partners including policyholders, governmental agencies, insurance broker’s, agents and other business partners, where needed\nKnowledge, Skills, Abilities\nFlexible and adaptive\nPresent a positive and professional image of the companies\nAbility to quickly assimilate and practically utilize new information\nAccommodate own actions to the demands of others\nAbility to work effectively as part of a team\nCritical thinking\nAdapt to standard procedures and established work patterns\nCommunicate in written and oral mediums effectively\nDependable, follows through\nAbility to complete tasks in a timely manner with supervision commensurate with experience level\nTime management\nAttention to detail; Accuracy\nMaintains professionalism\nJob Requirements\nHigh school diploma\n1+ years’ experience in an administrative role in a corporate environment\nMicrosoft office application experience\nKnowledge of insurance operations\nMinimum one year experience in claims handling environment, preferred\nProperty and Casualty (P&C) claims administrative experience, preferred\nMust be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.\nMust be able to be on-site for two weeks for training upon hire in our Cheshire, CT office\nWork Environment and Physical Demands\nInside climate-controlled office building\nProlonged sitting and using a PC\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
