We’re looking for a proactive and skilled Shift Engineer to join our operations team at our Grimsby site. You’ll be playing a crucial role in maintaining the performance of production equipment and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient manufacturing processes.\nWhat You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities):\nRapidly respond to breakdowns and carry out planned maintenance tasks.\n\nInvestigate root causes of failures and develop effective action plans.\n\nSupport continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.\n\nDeliver training and support to production teams for minor maintenance.\n\nCollaborate across departments (Production, Technical, NPD, etc.).\n\nPromote a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.\n\nDrive performance by minimising downtime and ensuring optimum plant availability.\n\nMaintain accurate documentation for all maintenance and engineering tasks.\n\nParticipate in maintenance projects, upgrades, and service improvements.\n\nDemonstrate efficient machine operation and support operator training.\n\nWhat You’ll Need (Skills & Experience):\nRelevant Engineering qualifications - Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.\n\nFMCG industry experience is highly desirable.\n\nConfident with PLC fault finding and diagnostics.\n\nFamiliar with HACCP and Health & Safety practices.\n\nStrong computer skills - Microsoft Office proficiency essential.\n\nGreat communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.\n\nSelf-motivated, hands-on, and solutions-focused.\n\nAbility to work at heights, in confined spaces, and varying temperatures.\n\nFlexibility to travel to other sites or suppliers if required.\n\nWhat can we offer you?\nCompetitive salary / rate of pay\nA day off work to support our charity partners\nPension\nMedical benefit\nAnd access to a HUB that offers many discounts from a range of suppliers and retailers\nAbout The Hain Celestial Group\nHain Celestial Group is a leading health and wellness company whose purpose is to inspire healthier living for people, communities and the planet through better-for-you brands.
