Our portfolio includes well-known brands such as Yorkshire Provender, Cully & Sully, and New Covent Garden Soup, alongside products for a range of retail and foodservice customers.\nThis is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for driving safety, quality, performance and people development across a fast-paced production environment.\nShift Pattern\nThis role operates on a rotating three-shift pattern:\n6:00am - 2:00pm\n10:00am - 6:00pm\n2:00pm - 10:00pm\nAbout the Role\nReporting to the Shift Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 15-20 colleagues, ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.\nYou will play a key role in delivering operational KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives, coaching and developing team members, and maintaining excellent standards across health & safety, food safety and hygiene.\nYou will also deputise for the Shift Manager when required.\nKey Responsibilities\nLead, motivate and develop production operatives and Lead Operators.\nDeliver daily production plans whilst maintaining quality, safety and efficiency standards.\nMonitor and communicate key performance indicators across the team.\nEnsure compliance with food safety, quality, health & safety and legislative requirements.\nManage training and development activities within your team.\nDrive continuous improvement initiatives using problem-solving tools and root cause analysis techniques.\nPromote high standards of housekeeping, hygiene and visual management.\nSupport labour planning and resource allocation to maximise operational efficiency.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Technical, NPD, Engineering and Commercial.\nConduct team briefings and promote effective two-way communication.\nSupport performance management, absence management and employee engagement activities.\nWhat We're Looking For\nPrevious experience as a Team Leader, Production Supervisor or similar leadership role within food manufacturing.\nStrong understanding of food production processes, equipment and factory operations.\nExperience implementing continuous improvement or lean manufacturing principles.\nKnowledge of food safety, quality and health & safety standards.\nStrong people management and coaching skills.\nGood IT skills and experience using manufacturing systems.\nAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.\nExcellent communication and problem-solving skills.\nDesirable\nAdvanced Food Hygiene qualification.\nExperience with M3, SCADA or similar manufacturing systems.\nFormal continuous improvement or lean manufacturing training.\nWhat You'll Get\nOpportunity to join a successful and growing food manufacturing business.\nA leadership role with genuine opportunity for development and progression.\nExposure to well-known UK food brands and major retail customers.\nSupportive team environment focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence.\nCompetitive salary / rate of pay\nA day off work to support our charity partners\nFlexible working options\nPension\nMedical benefit\nAnd access to a HUB that offers many discounts from a range of suppliers and retailers\nAbout The Hain Celestial Group\nHain Celestial Group is a leading health and wellness company whose purpose is to inspire healthier living for people, communities and the planet through better-for-you brands.
