Senior Solution Consultant (m/f/d) – Digital Solutions for Municipalities

Your mission

Hako is building a digital solutions business that goes beyond classic machine sales - and you will help shape this development from a leading position. In a newly created role within our Innovation department, you will guide municipalities and municipal operations on their journey towards our digital software solution: you understand their requirements, develop suitable solution concepts, and have a passion for digital products. Anyone who enjoys building something new and creating real impact will find plenty of room to shape things here.

That's why, for our Innovation department at the Bad Oldesloe site, we are looking to fill the following permanent, full-time position as soon as possible:

Senior Solution Consultant (m/f/d) - Digital Solutions for Municipalities

Your tasks

• You actively help shape the development of our new digital business model as a software solution within the Innovation department
• You advise municipalities and municipal operations and conduct customer workshops to capture requirements and challenges
• You develop suitable solution concepts, software demos, and presentations together with the customer, sales, and the innovation team
• You support our sales organisation as a technical/subject-matter partner in customer contact, prepare technical and commercial proposals, and manage the proposal process, including for public tenders
• You translate customer feedback, market requirements, and hands-on experience into concrete input for product development and the roadmap
• You realistically assess technical feasibility and implement pilot projects professionally

Your profile

• A completed commercial or technical apprenticeship with relevant professional experience, or a degree with relevant professional experience
• Several years of experience in the sales or consulting of software solutions, as well as a good understanding of digital platforms, interfaces, and data-based services; plus a willingness to travel within Germany
• You understand what genuinely moves customers forward and use this to develop realistic solution concepts that deliver on their promises; an interest in municipal procurement processes is a welcome plus
• Business-fluent German (C2) for close collaboration with municipalities, as well as good English (C1), both written and spoken
• You bring a consulting mindset rather than a pure sales mentality, communicate clearly and understandably, and can inspire a wide range of conversation partners to engage with digital topics
• You bring an innovative spirit and enthusiasm for digital products, approach internal coordination with the necessary standing, and are keen to build something up in a new role
