Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.\nESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS \nPrepare required tools, equipment, and supplies for your scheduled shift.\nInspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment, and supplies. \nClean and sanitize work areas that will be in use.\nObtain morning and afternoon requisitions from storeroom.\nAssist banquet chef with prepping, cooking, helping execution of plated and buffet menu.\nWork in carving/action stations.\nComplete all tasks assigned in a timely manner.\nWork in other kitchen outlets when needed. \nMaintain positive guest relations at all times. Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately. Assist with resolving guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.\nMonitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas. Maintain and strictly abide by State sanitation/Health regulations and Hotel requirements.\nArrive to work on time and be ready to work at your workstation at the scheduled starting time\nPerform all other duties as may be required or assigned.\nSUPERVISORY REQUIREMENTS\nReports To: Banquet Event Chef & Chef de Cuisine\nSupervises: None \nEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE\nHigh school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.\n1 year experience desirable as a Prep Cook at a Hotel kitchen or Restaurant.\nLICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS\nFood handling certificate desirable\nKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES\nAbility to anticipate guest needs; respond promptly and acknowledge all guests.\nEnsure familiarity with all hotel services/features to respond to guest inquiries accurately.\nMust be highly organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.\nAbility to maintain positive guest relations at all times.\nAbility to expand/condense recipes.\nComprehend and follow recipes.\nKnowledge of pans and carving item pars\nCompute basic arithmetic.\nFluency in English both verbal and non-verbal, as well as French Culinary Terms\nPHYSICAL DEMANDS\nThe physical demands and work environment characteristics described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
