Analytical sciences is a specialized discipline providing support for new product development, by developing, validating and transferring state-of-the-art robust methods that enable the growth of the Consumer Health Business.\nThis Analytical Associate Scientist is responsible for following established procedures and methodologies in analytical chemistry for the chemical and physical testing of products under development. This role has a growing familiarity with aspects of HPLC and GC and basic laboratory skills.\nRole Responsibilities\nPossesses basic knowledge of chemistry and laboratory techniques.\nApplies technical skills and functional knowledge to projects and assignments.\nUnderstands GMP requirements and R&D policies and procedures.\nCompletes all required training before conducting GMP scientific work.\nExecutes analytical procedures, methodologies, and method validation/transfer protocols under senior supervision.\nConducts analytical testing (chemical and physical) to support the development of new OTC drugs and medical devices.\nAdheres to R&D documentation policies when recording scientific work.\nIdentifies atypical data, including chromatography and intermediate results, and collaborates with a senior colleague to investigate and determine the root cause.\nTroubleshoots basic instrumentation issues.\nPerforms peer reviews of scientific data and reports, working with colleagues to resolve any identified issues promptly.\nWhy you?\nBasic Qualifications:\nBS in Chemistry or related course of study \nPreferred Qualifications:\nA passion for science is essential given the critical importance of technical expertise for the success of the organization.\n0+ years of relevant experience working in an analytical lab setting.\nHas a working knowledge of GMP requirements and site policies & procedures.\nIndustry laboratory experience\nExperience with HPLC, GC and dissolution\nThis role is located onsite with a 3 day in-office requirement at our Richmond, VA facility.\nThe expected salary range is $66,286 - $91,144.\nBenefits\nHaleon offers a robust Total Reward package that consists of competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits program.
